Also if you wait a couple of weekes I'll have a new version out rewritten in C++ of Qt.

Welcome news indeed!!! One thing about the .dmg files and indeed fcamera in any format is the need for vignetting correction (noted variously in threads). The Nokia camera app clearly corrects this "feature" of the n900 lens CCD combo, whilst fcamera does not. So, ....... I am sure you know what I mean, eh?

ta verily for the app,

HA

See this thread: http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=64692
The package python2.5-qt4-... have been published under a new name. Ansel-A would need a repackage with the updated dependencies.

OK 8 got the solution, try:
apt-get install python2.5-qt4-common=4.7.4-maemo0 python2.5-sip4=4.10.5-maemo0
this should force the old build... It worked for me

Hi, that's not really the case. There are both pySide and pyQt libraries which are being developed in parallel and with different licenses.

Truth is that many people seem to have a problem with the installation of qt4 libraries and you can notice that in multiple threads. I haven't seen any explanation or real solution but I would ask those with problems to mention the repos they have enabled.

This is being addressed currently, see this thread as well.
http://forums.internettablettalk.com...ad.php?t=65199.

As I mentioned in my previous posts, I can't seem to replicate this yet on 4 separate devices from various users, all who are running PR1.3.

I hope to have a resolution soon.

I've managed to solve the install problems :-)...
couldn't install with the standard app manager due to missing dependancies but it installed without problem using 'app downloader'

Also worked with Maesynth, which was giving me the same problems.
Great :-)

EDIT...sorry, forget that, it seems to install ok but after clicking the icon the app just closes itself straight away.
Same with Maesynth!
Not Great :-(

Hi I will report a bug when I start the application from command line :

line 11, in <module> from PyQt4 import QtCore
runtimeerror: the sip module implements API v8.0 but the PyQt4.QtCore requires API v7.1

my version is PR_1.3 the program has been installed today

Any idea ?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] Ansel-A: Digital Darkroom for the N900

I have a problem with Ansel A.... basically:

- turn up brightness => ok
- change contrast => brightness reverts to 0, contrast changes
- change brightness again => brighness changes again, contrast reverts to 0

Basicaly, the sliders only show the effect of the last slider change.

Is this as-designed, or is it a bug?
