Good question!

If you're willing to be passive-aggressive, hypocritical and feigning martyrdom, you'll fit right in!

Of course, you've got some stiff competition there, so get cracking!

;)

If your willing to be a bell-end you are out of luck. Someone from a southern states already has dibs on that, but you seem like a nice guy so I would say no need to get involved. :)

The Nokia guys said that less and less Java is playing an important part in website design and Flash/Ajax is coming more to the forefront. ".

Which shows the utter ignorance of this people.

"Java is NOT just applets, stupid!" (should be the message to them).

Have they heard of J2ME? How about full client-side Java? Bet they didn't hear about that either!. Sheesh!. With the device's memory, it could as well run full Java Swing apps, if there was a JVM available.

Perhaps they should pay a visit to
http://www.java.com/en/desktop/
and
http://www.java.com/en/mobile/

I can't stand it when clueless managers think they have a clue but they don't.

Guys, the most important question is: wtf is going on?
...Why don't we all take our tablets and remind ourselves how nice they are...then we can enjoy our little internet tablet community and stand up against the whole ppc, palm and m$ fraction as one team, represented by the ITT forum ! ... Think positive... Sex, drugs & Rock'n'roll ;-)

peace :-):-):-)

one of the things I like about this forum (apart from it's obvious uses as a 770/800 user re apps and genuine heads-up info from the likes of texrat) is the absence of the need for any real admin-meddling due to its healthy self-regulating sarky banter.

It's also one of the very, very few forums that I've ever used that lacks "flaming" pointless web-arguments from people with nothing better to do with their lives.

I'd like to publically ask reggie to look carefully at sapporobaby's posts in this thread, particularly the overt homophobia and continuous personal attacks which he launches into in response to the slightest disagrement posts.

At first, I was willing to believe that such behaviour was perhaps something to do with posting in English as a second language or something, and mis-firing as an attempt to do some kind of percieved colloquial web-banter, but now I simply cannot believe that such a character could really be any older than 16 and certainly not hold any kind of hi-flying governmental/nokia interfacing job position.

I've never used the "ignore" function here before either. Just going to find and implement it now and try to get the forum back to the enjoyable experience it previously was before this person came along.
