I am using simonics. Just tested and it is working fine.

If possible, provide more information so that you could get better help. Or maybe it is just a temporary thing.

Where do you guys get the "11-digit Google Voice number, starting with 1" that simonics asks for? I am all over google voice portal looking for the prompts to create the 11 digits number, but #fail. :-/

You simply need a Gmail account.

Once you have this, head on over to
google.com/voice
and sign up for a personal phone number.

Yep, gogli-google-help page said the same. But the Big G! fails to offer me to sign up. :"-(

Precisely the "you'll be prompted" part ain't happening in my case.

"You'll be prompted to choose whether you want a new number or you want to use your existing number. Choose I want a new number."

I have been trying to get Gizmo5 replacement SIP account since the do-no-evil-google acquired and closed that great service. This thread gave me real hope, after I had been googling for a solution for what is now two years.

As far as I know, this is only available in the U.S.

It seems that my router is blocking simonics.. Does anyone know how to unblock it? What port should I open? I tried to open the same port as when I registered it on the phone (on another internet), but it's the same thing.. blocked!
