Very strange I am using the tooor tooor tooor wav aswell. Did you have to change any permissions on the file? Might have a look see if thats the problem.

Nope, didn´t change any permissions and, as stated earlier, it worked right from the beginning with the very first version and default wav.
My guess is, your problems come either from the version/deb files you guys have installed or still some dependency problems with other apps/widgets.

Guys, I'd appreciate any ideas on why my wav sound doesn't play at all. I have the default one and have never heard it.

Maybe you give a as detailed as possible description of which version and how you installed and what you did so far!?

How are the Geeks here or even the developers of the app supposed to help with literally no information except "It does not work!" ???
Give them something to start from to narrow the problem down...

p.s.: and make sure you are not on "silent" profile :p

Firstly don't patronise and I think I am capable of knowing that my N900 hasn't been on Silent profile since the world cup started. Just a general suggestion would have sufficed.

Give some hints on what situation you have exactly.
"Does not work" is not a good starting point for trouble shooting!

I have used this up for a few days. had some sounds from it first day. But now I don't here any sound. Also, I have no sound when ppl call me, Im not able to play any music or movie. Any more have this problem?.

I will restore or reflash. just wanted to see if anyone else have problems?

I had this as well. It seems to come and go, But restarting the device seemed to sort it out. Although annoyingly it also affected the sound on my alarm so that it didn't ring or vibrate.

Apart from these issues. I really like how the app works. Would be great if these bugs are ironed out and further developed to include The Premiership and other competitions as well.

nice to see a widget although i havent installed it. I am using calendar for it. I made a calendar named 'fifa world cup 2010', gave it a color. Added events giving them starting local time.

I've installed the Pelota app yesterday and had issues with sound in some of my installed games, namely Angry Birds for one. Also today my usual faithful alarm did not wake me up! My profile is set to all sounds and vibrate.

Changing profile will not bring the sound back. Cannot keep reseting N900 all the time as it is very awkward and I need to rely on the sounds working properly.

Had to uninstall it as the sound is more important to me than the game results.

But besides that, it is an interesting widget. Keep up the good work.

I have the same problem, my phone just stops producing sounds/vibrations every day or two, that goes for music, incoming calls, alarm etc.

pelota was my main suspect but i haven't uninstalled it yet cause it's too handy :p

Hope you noted the widget does in fact a little more ;-)

Or, does your calendar notify you for each goal with a nice sound and vibrating ;-)

I dont see why you are so dismissive of niqbal's comment, i did the same by downloading the BBC ics file mentioned here by someone else: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport2/hi/foot...10/8677077.stm

As you should have noticed, Pelota doesnt help you when you want to know which team plays when during the next days, so having the games as a calender entry is the best way to go, and with the BBC file you only have to bend your finger twice to do it :)

Of course not, its not the purpose of Pelota. It is only for "near real-time" information/notification of goals...

I assume every footy crazy has the games in the calendar. Adding them automatically using ics, Outlook sync or whatever is simple and was already discussed in another thread...

I had the issue of sounds disapeering. Removed pelota and sound are all fine again now, but something is up and I now cannot reinstall irreco widget, just comes up with 'unable to install' everytime.

Not even going to try reinstalling Pelota after the problems i've had. Any ideas how I can get irreco widget installed again?

Are you talking about the qtirreco app? I have both qtirreco and Pelota installed and both are working perfectly...

Or is there a widget for irreco you are talking about?

Tried to install this earlier - it didn't seem to download/install, the installer just got to about 50% and hung.

Anyone know why? Seems like a fun app! :)

wow my battery dains in 10 hours with this widget on.... my battery holds 40 hours without the widget....

really nice widget but i cant live with 10 hour battery!

I noticed the battery drain as well. Now have to reload every day.

as stated before, widget works well. Problem is, that my LED does not work anymore since pelote widget installation. I don't get charging LED (yellow and green) or message LED (blue)
