If you enter a valid YouTube video url in the search box, cuteTube will take you directly to the video info window, so you can play the video or view/post comments etc.

1) That feature has always been available:

2) This feature is also available. The application checks your download directory to see if you have previously downloaded the video (will not work if you change the filename ;) ).

You complain about the 'Playing...' notification and then say there is no feedback. ;) I will probably add a progress bar or other notification when the player is starting up. This pause only occurs when you first load the window. The 'Playing...' notification is useful when you play a playlist, so you know which video is about to be played.

I am trying to solve the rotation problem. The window is set to landscape mode, but it seems that it inherits the auto-rotation from the parent window, so I need to find a way around it.

External player option is not coming back, because I want to make this application eejit-proof.



I might bring back the high resolution options for downloads, but I get sick of people asking why the 720p downloads will not play on the N900.

Just updated to 0.9.6-4 and its awsome! Pasting the video URL is a must if someone texts it to you, would be awsome if when you click the link via text message you get the option to open with cutetube and have it play automatically! Also a way of getting the video URL off cutetube to send someone else! At the moment i have to go into forward text, open virtual keyboard and copy the link that way which is ok but a bit long winded to paste the URL into the search bar. there is no sound when the phone is on silent mode, even when headphones are used and the volume is maxed.

phone needs to be in silent mode for work etc. but should still play audio on command like built in media player does.

If you try to minimize the window and go multi-tasking, you see some little pixel kind of sitting around on Grid View of your open windows. The second you start doing something else, the audio gets completely choppy. And as has been said once before, it eats up about 30 percent your RAM almost consistently. I can imagine this being a bit of a headache when I get a text message or phone call. Is there anything that can be done about it? Otherwise, keep it going! This looks great!
