This is to the dude that developed the UI, thank you for making such a beautiful UI. To the guys and gals that toiled day and night to make the MOAT/P (Mother of All Tablets/Phones) extremely robust and changing of internet profile pain free, thank you.

I think they have, and mine (if it does indeed come tomorrow) will have arrived on 4th working day after order even though I ordered when they were dealing with the pre-orders last week.

I ordered my N900 at 1am Monday morning, my status was updated to "Ready for Despatch" on the Tuesday. Still no e-mails or delivery from MFD :mad:
I have phoned them and was informed today my order is coming from Guildford!?!?!?! I live in Chester so why not deliver from Manchester store?? The man on the phone said I might get it tomorrow or Wednesday. I hope he is right, I keep crying when the post man walks past my house without delivering! All I want is to get rid of my bloody locked down iPhone 3G! |

Hello all, wel i ordered my N900 voda 24 month contract on the 10th dec and it should be with me tomorrow as according to MPD it is completed. ;)
Would have ordered it earlier but waited to play on the HTC HD2 first which my partner has but feel it will get sent back as there is just so much wrong with it on the software side. Just hope you've all had yours that ordered them before my date! |

Ooh sounds like I had a lucky escape. Was going to go for the HD2 without even looking about until I spotted N900. I started to hear about bugs with HD2 and to be honest I've had enough after the HD1 bugs. HTC are impossible to get to fix bugs or admit to hardware fault. After a year and a half of firmware fiddling on my HD I never managed to get it to play music without skipping.
I ordered on 9th (late night) and mine is coming tomorrow too. Excited but must sleep now. |

I received my n900 last Friday, but after second charge phone just doesn;t want to turn on, it's dead, I sent email to MPD yestarday - no answer, when you call them it's only voice mail. I'm crashed, I was waiting for it so many weeks now it's broken, nobody to contact with and I'm leaving uk on Saturday for two weeks for christmas. Does anybody knows how to cotact them and get replacement of my n900 ???

Just got mine and raced into work where I should have been, flexi-time is goood.
Funny it came in one of the boxes I saw out the back of the Southampton store when the lady told me that all devices are posted from a central location. I'm still quite annoyed that she lied to my face so blatantly. Got my N900 charging and the light came on, switched it on and no dead pixels, then had to leg it for work and leave it behind! Hope the mic works and it doesn't randomly reboot - then I'm set! |

Re.HTC - I have an Ipaq 6515 which was designed by HTC, no end of reboots, crashes and faulty sensor which makes it reboot etc. Terrible terrible company.
I had arranged a business contract for N900 in November for an N900 with mobilephonesdirect. However, my emails have been 'ignored' since the launch. I am wondering if I should even bother ordering one through the website if I am not going to get any contact from MPD...? The random reboots are distressing.... |

No problems so far but haven't really had a chance to play with it yet. It does take a bit of getting used to coming from the iphone with regards to texts etc but thats to be expected. Its very fast! |

Hi guys, I was just wondering if anybody else had any trouble confirming their order on the website. I keep getting 'not been authorised....please use another card'. Rang up m.p.d and they said make sure your address is correct to the one your bank is registered to...which ive done. My bank is abbey and they do not add the county to system so the guy i spoke to said that this might be the problem. Ive tried yorkshire, west yorkshire, w yorkshire, yorkshire and humber lol.
Has anybody else with abbey had trouble confirming there order. I really dont want to wait till jan to get my n900 :( |

Hi all, newbie here. Placed my order last Sunday and the status us still "New (other)". Does anyone know if this is normal? (I guess Other = Sim Only which is what I ordered). Anyone had these shipped yet? I can see contract ones being sent out...

Hi guys.
Just an update. Everything is going OK here. I am planning to test if everything is OK by unifying the two partitions FAT (28GB) + ext3 (2GB) in one ext3 partition and use a 8GB VFAT MicroSD for photos. I will try that over the next few days, and if OK and if people are interested how to do that, let me know. BTW, I tried the vodafone network on data usage first time today (got connected yesterday and till then I was using my Wifi). The only available signal I get when I am in 3G mode is "Vodafone Internet GPRS". As soon as I connect to that, the 3G changes to 3.5G. Is the "Vodafone Internet GPRS" the only network for data usage or there is another one which is faster? Cheers |

I'm not happy with MPD, I ordered the N900 on a T-Mobile contract in september, and they pre-approved the contract, but then a week ago they said there was a problem with it. After many emails and attempted phone calls I finally got through to them today, and they said it is probably a problem with my cardholder address which they need to verify. However it's impossible for them to do it over the phone, and I should go into a store two hours away to prove that I live in my house. In actual fact the store can't do anything with T-mobile contracts, even ones which were ordered when they were available. When I phoned them back about that he actually told me that it was 'news to him', and sounded surprised when he confirmed it in about 10 seconds on the computer. At every juncture they have kindly offered me a change to vodafone, which is £70 more expensive. At this point I'd rather eat my money than give it to them.
So, does anyone know where else it's available? Do any of those nokia store codes still work? |
