Re: N900 will not allow USB OTG!

it seems there is differences between different sticks
i test it 8GB a-data stick and it is sensed always but 2GB Kingmax SuperStick trigger to the peripheral mode and because 5v is on on vbus ( external ) this trigger pcsuite / mass storage selection menu !!! :)

i don't know yet why this happen
keyboard trigger a mesage something like " bogus device "

Sandisk microSD readers are flaky anyhow, desktop Ubuntu don't see either of my 2

I could get the LEDs of my stick flashing for a moment but no hostmode.
Let's hope it's just me, my device or stick and that someone else can reproduce it.

Try the command 'lsusb' and see if it is listed. I found that my usb stick was detected but no /dev entry was created.

According to sarahn's test (see prev page) gaia does not assert the vbus pin but only sets the id pin bit if both vbus and id are sensed. Could you check that?

If vbus and Id pin are applied at the same time, I believe vbus is prioritized. If you plug in id then power, I believe there is not another interrupt.

I have a possible explanation why it fails: my USB stick requests 200mA
which is the limit of the N900. I'll try again with another less power-hungry device.

EDIT: again, no success with a 100mA SD card reader :-(
