I've tried a few different search terms but can't find the post I'm looking for.

I'm having an issue with playback on dsp profile. Stock media player bring up the loading dots but playback doesn't actually start, just blank screen. IIRC there was a post about boosting some of the voltages for specific revisions. Any ideas?

What kind of videos are you playing?
Are they 720p? What codec, profile and bitrate?

they are simple mp4 file. downloaded from cutetube. with video quality set to mobile

Try powering off the N900 and pulling the battery for a minute.

The DSP sometimes undervolts too much and can't recover.

avi and mp4. can't check actual codec at the moment. none are hd, highest is ???x480.

i set config to ideal and it seemed to work. changed back to dsp and its working but takes longer to start

In kernel v49 900Mhz y 600Mhz de DSP for recording/playing 720p ok but in kernel v50???

How I put 900/600 ???

Upload cpu very easy with kernel v50 tools and qcpufreq but dsp??

playing and recording 1280x720 PERFECT SPEED

BAD QUALITY RECORDING 1280X720HD

848x480 high resolution n900 original factory is more better quality than 1280x720p .

I recorded 12 videos and in all videos more quality in 848x480

With 600cpu and original dsp(I think that it is original) because I do not know how I can see dsp speed.

Cpu easy but dsp???

Done everything like in tutorial but with no difference.
In sib the movie played before(whit kernel-power v50) but very slow whit sound going faster than the video.Now in Sib player is the same and in stock media player the dots appear and after a while it stops whitout playing.Video is 720p .mkv cpu is 500-900 Mhz and ideal profile loaded via qcpufreq.Those who said it works great could you please tell me what config. u used and what player?thanks everyone!

you'd better use dsp profile, not ideal as it is deprecated. And I am not aware of what sib player is, but if it does not use gstreamer, there will be no difference. anyway, you should use stock media player.
