Silently waiting. Nothing ever heard about any parcel/DHL/whatever. No letter received from Nokia about it, yet. Best wishes. __________________ Per aspera ad astra... |

Re: 2012 Coding Competition
Does anybody have any insight into the harmattan-dev website being down?
My new N950 is useless to me without the documentation that was there a few days ago. |
Re: 2012 Coding Competition
I am also wonder what has happend to the sdk repository. I need libsdl1.2-dev and libsdl-image1.2-dev for harmattan in order to port my game...
If someone has these packages or knows where else to find them please tell me :) |
Re: 2012 Coding Competition
I guess you should be able to configure apt-get to use copy of repository under http://maemo-archive.wedrop.it/ , please refer to threads http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=87815&page=2 and http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...61#post1292861 for more info or ask user "CrashandDie" directly (it's his backup).

Re: 2012 Coding Competition
Hi guys, just a note that qwazix will be our council contact for device distribution :)
The wiki isn't currently editable, but from my understanding the following people have either not received or not reported their device status to us:
Please give us an update (especially if it's good news :) ) Onto Jack.. Quote:

I don't even remember the website, but there should be enough documentation and help around without what was specifically on this website. There's little you'll be doing that someone hasn't done before, and if you stick with Qt and the sdk the only worry might be adding the correct Aegis credentials for device functionality that requires those - but if you can't find a doc on that then simply google/ask!! Pretty much everything will simply build and install from the sdk, and if you used the Qt sdk for Maemo development there'll be no surprises. Same for python apps, or plain javascript/web apps, or whatever else you want to run. I promise you, the documentation and assistance out there now is a great deal more than what was available when the N950s were first distributed :p You proved you have all the skills you need, have the confidence to get stuck in. I have a feeling that a lot of the info on that site was contained in a pdf somewhere, someone might have saved that and can provide it for you. But onto another point.. please raise issues here, but this is not the best place to ask for development help :o A lot of the folks who have experience in developing Haramattan apps in our community are most likely not reading this thread, I suggest for a better response to bring your concerns into the Development forum here, the handset section of the MeeGo forum, on twitter to the #N950club, the Nokia forum.. yadda yadda.. It's going to be your best way to relieve your frustrations and get answers :) What I'm saying is please don't feel discouraged so quickly! The N950 is a prototype device, running a niche Operating System, it may give you many headaches but it'll also give you a lot of joy if you stick with it. http://i280.photobucket.com/albums/k...er-AimHigh.jpg If it's genuinely useless to you, the best I can do for you is check with one of the bounty winners if they'd like to swap their money prize with your N950 and I'll pay the cost of shipping personally. That's if you want to keep the prize within the contest community. Quote:

http://harmattan-dev.nokia.com/docs/library/ I also believe that is where the instructions were to download scratchbox with SDK. To your point, I only plan on sticking to the SDK and to Qt. The site is now unavailable. I was reading through a lot of the material there and was building up in my mind where/how I could start my development on the N950. I had not yet had a chance to set up my environment as I'm still working on N900 stuff, but now I cannot start without scratchbox or the developer library. Also, the documentation on Aegis was there, too. I have no clue where else to go for scratchbox and the other harmattan API documentation suite. Also, I just uploaded my latest version of the app that won me the N950 and I see the autobuilder's last build is from 5 days ago. Is somebody pulling the plug on all of us (officially or non-officially)? |
