In regards to the vertical bar on the menu, when you set opacity to 0, it should remove the entire bar. It does on mine. Did you reboot after changing? The other way is to replace the vertical bar .png, with a blank one. I think it is usr/share/themes/alpha/images/WmSeparator
You would replace "alpha" with the name of the theme you are using.

Like many others I have to agree repeating that the N900 is so sexy with black/dark backgrounds and I still love looking this thread.....thx to all that are keeping it alive.

Talking backgrounds - I personnally tottally dislike the new ICS wallpaper (at least those already available...) they are absolutely rubbish, any creative idea inside.....sorry android!
My kind of like wallpaper are those that come with the N9 ....

Hi!
The date in this picture is qbw right? Is there a way to make it stay there on top since everytime I turn the phone to portrait mode and then back to landscape, date comes a bit down kind of under the "level of the statusbar" - any way to avoid this?

Hi. Yes it is qbw, but there is no way to "fix" the widgets in the status area. As I don't use portrait mode, it's not such a problem for me. They only revert back when I reset the device.

hiya!! yeah! iv done all the above... iv tried copying the fonts to the fonts folder using filebox but i keep getting an error message sayin

"you don't have permissions to proceed"

not only that! when i lock my phone and press the unlock button (the power button) all i keep getting is a black screen with small blue writing on it... with out any of the shapes. only the time, date, day and music part the rest is all black.

please help!
