If I install the new version from OpenRepos will it upgrade the existing one or will it install side to it? Will it import my chats and contacts? Will I have to register again?

The previous version is working fine, I won't update before I know the process will be safe and straightforward (no double versions, no lost database, no issues with registering - or better, no need to register again at all - etc.).

I understand that, but there is already a bug on this issue.
Surely should be easy to fix since previous version had sounds.

@Watchmaker new mitakuuluu will be installed separately. it will import your contacts and text messages. and you will need to register again.
@rooster13 just look at one post before your, ok? There are some comments and instructions you can follow to help in solving bugs, because for me sounds working.

Well, I lost all my messages since in the new version it was said that if you installed the new version already you need to do in the old app remove all. Well it did remove all :D

no, it said you need to delete account if you switching from official whatsapp application and already removed it before installing mitakuuluu.

hello, not sure if it's a bug or it's supposed to be so. Just after selecting a group or contact, in order to display the "add image. etc " icons, I need to swipe down, keep pressing and swipe up again. I cannot swipe up directly.
@coderus I'll report to github with logs if it's a bug (and eventually send sreenshot if it's not clear ;))

Renaming the /etc/profiled/2014.mitakuuluu.ini to 00.mitakuuluu.ini and reboot fixed the sound problem for me
