maemo.org - Talk - Mplayer plug-in 3.50

Ok, tested a whole lot of plugins ad although they seem to install properly in microb there's no go.

MediaPlayerConnectivity 0.9.3 loads ok on the pc but it doesn't stream, on the N900 it doesn't load at all.
Some porting will be necessary after all I guess...

On my desktop linux install I use it all the time, and it would be very useful on my N900 also.
i am not very good at compiling from source, I usually just use the repositories.

I simply went to the plug-in's address via the browser (google it up and it should show up on the mozilla website)

It installs but it doesn't work...
On the pc it does work but I can't launch any videos, can you? what sites? what options?

I also found something that I'd like to have in microb: http://www.downloadhelper.net/
It starts a download that I can easily open with mplayer; Unfortunately this installs & doesn't work as previously mentioned.
I wrote to the developers... maybe they'll consider it.
