Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
Thanks guys!
Jay, I'm still learning the technical aspects but it seems I have an intuitive grasp of mixing and mastering. Maybe we could work out a trade of some sorts-- I could still use another vocalist or 3. :D Although I have to admit Tony did some of the mixing on this (vocals to instruments). |
Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
Well, I'd trade it for the ability to sing again... :(

Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
It took me a while to play and sing lead... but I'll bet following someone is even harder.

Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
Just be glad you don't play jazz. ;)

Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
If you guys like the stuff that Freelance Rider Company (my group) is doing, then I highly recommend you check out Lady Antebellum, especially their new song "Need You Now". Very cool Celtic-flavored Country Rock.

Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
I finally got a fully-functional version of my mastering tool of choice, Ozone 4, and am finalizing songs. I think "Find me gone" (sung by Dan Skarda) is done, pending his approval:

Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
another jam in progress. This one is western rock and not short. ; )
http://www.cynicalsigns.com/projects...und%20Main.mp3 Lyrics not complete, the ending isn't right, and it will be a while before a friend adds a blistering southern-style lead... but you should get the idea. It's an outlaw's lament called "Fair for Me". EDI: odd... a lot of posts appear to be missing here...? |
Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
Another one I wrote and scored this weekend. This one was a lot of fun and I really like how it's turning out:

Re: Up for some hillbilly music?
Doesn't look there's any more interest here, but just in case, here's another in the works, a waltz in C (still no vocal work):
