Thanks for infotmations.
I have tryed but with airodump-ng wlan0 it show only channel 6
and with airodump-ng -c 11 wlan0 he show also only channel 6. My wifi is on channel 11 and doesnt appear.

Any idea ?:confused:

Same here .... My Wifi (Channel 7) is not found.

Well that's a mysterious comment! Who's working on it? And where's the source code for the open parts of the wl1251 stack?

I see three packages on my N900 with wl1251 in their names: libwl1251, wl1251-firmware, and wl1251-cal. Do you know which ones are open and where the source is? Are there other packages needed too?

I get

Neither the sysfs interface links nor the iw command is available.
Please download and install iw from
http://wireless.kernel.org/download/...0.9.17.tar.bz2

when i try and run

airmon-ng start wlan0

wireless-tools latest version is installed but i'm a bit lost at the message above.. anyone shed any light?

All I have to say to those in this thread is be patient for another week or so and great things are coming for the wl1251 ;)

I'm very newbie at N900, how can I install this with terminal? I know I need to write down "sudo apt-get install aircrack-ng" but it somehow doesnt do anything,

anyone can explain one by one? :( which file should get first, http://download.aircrack-ng.org/aircrack-ng-1.0.tar.gz this one or some .deb file I cannot find?
