I have found that running

killall yaspot

in xterm and starting yaspot again doest the trick and music plays again :)

no idea... i wish somebody could fix the "client upgrade required" issue as well since my yaspot is still not working... :(

Same problem here:
authentication failed: Client upgrade required

I'm not logged in anywhere else, with extras-devel (and all packages installed from it) up to date.

I had a quick look at the despotify code and updated the client version number to match that of the official spotify client. This did then manage to successfully connect to the spotify server but the application built with despotify did not work.

Unfortunately this means that the actual interface to the server has probably changed which could mean a fair bit of work reverse engineering the new protocol.

Just re-registered, and both qtify and yaspot work again :D Let's see for how long...
