Just playing around with this theme and so far I like it. Only the highlight when pressing a button seems a bit too dark.

What about a highlight that looks more like the gradient of the "Go"-button at the top beside the search field?

Thanks! :-)

I agree that pressed buttons are ugly. Will do something for those :)

SmoothMaemo updated to 1.0.0.7 with re-drawn highlights. Should be on repos in a minute.

It seems you changed the highlight of small buttons - like in the dial pad - to a gray gradient. But what about the big buttons? Still a gradient from black to orange... or do I have to reboot?

Still would be happy to see some brighter orange hightlight on them.

Please do a reboot after the upgrade. I did update same highlight to all buttons, top menus and homescreen widgets. Hildon theme cacher won't just show them until after reboot.

Indeed, now all gradients are grey...

Have a look at the profile dialog. It would be much easier to know which profile you wanted to select if it turned orange instead of switching the gradient direction. I had to go from normal to silent and I hadn't a clue what I was selecting.

Yeah, I suppose you're right about that and I guess I'll have to trash the idea button really looks like it's pressed down and use the orange highlight instead :) Give me couple of hours and it's fixed.

Now you have the orange highlight :)

New version (1.0.0.8) is on extras-devel now and soon to be in extras-testing.

Edit: also a variant called BlackAndRed is online:
