0.9.6-1+r3654-1 is the latest , you can see it here :

desmume 0.97 yes in ubuntu computer but in n900 , i do not think that it happen because , smoku forgotten this emulator , he said it .

If other person port 0.97 for maemo well .

and in easy debian maemo you can play with this version

Can we expect a descent DS emulator running this under easy Debian?? Even the Gameboy color emulator is a lil bit crap! So I don't expect more from this! poor maemo or Poor N900?? Here is the question!!! :D

Highly doubtful. I don't think the debian package maintainer did any optimizations for ARM architecture. DeSmuME is primarily a DS emulator for x86 computers, and employs a few optimizations for the x86 arch. Now, since both the DS and N900 both employ ARM cpus, a decent DS emulator COULD be possible on it, but not without a completely different emulation core than what DeSmuME supplies.

As lorul2 said, it was released, not that it was released to N900.
Ds is not an easy thing to emulate, and in the early stage
it is ( on x86 ), I don't think we will have it running well, ever...
Even tough it would be nice... =/

If you were running easy debian on another system, but on N900
is still a " bit " far away in any way.

Yes yes it is all right , when nvidia tegra 3 arm 4 cores 2,5Ghz and 2Gb ram and ubuntu 11.04 arm in smartphone with display 4-5 inch 1280x720 hd super amoled plus , for example

we will can play all emulators , pcsx2(play 2) and dolphin(wii) and n64,psx,nintendo ds ..........

well in 2012 .

But now we have got a nokia n900 with 1ghz 1 core and it can run psx and n64 , megadrive ,supernintendo , mame , gameboy advance and more..... i am happy .

For better play , play in your computer jaja

i passed crysis 2 today and yesterday dead space 2 , this week assasins creed brotherhood and lost planet 2

i saw dead space and asphalt 6 adrenaline in iphone 4, very good games

with palm webos emulator in n900 is asphalt 5 and blades of fury for example good games

Yeah, I got Crysis 2 this week for my pc, it's incredable.:D
Your smartphone specs are powerful, but are they enough?
Asphalt 6 has nice graphics, but I expect a lot more from Tegra.
