I have read that multiboot shall boot automaticly to maemo if the keyboard is closed but it doesn't, it opens the boot menu even if the keyboard is closed and there is a 30 sec timer

It does. Do you have options in multiboot when it loads up?

Something like this i'd imagine.

ITEM_ID="MMCFS"
ITEM_NAME="2.8.28-omap1 32g"
ITEM_KERNEL=2.6.28-omap1
ITEM_MODULES=ext3
ITEM_DEVICE=${INT_CARD}p2
ITEM_FSTYPE=ext3

Did the trick. I'll put this in the other post for others.

Bummer, I can load the standard kernel but it will not load Titan's if I change the line to match the one in the item file for Titan's

is it ITEM_KERNEL that you are changing? if so, is it just looping back to the bootmenu? it would suggest the kernel is not in /boot/multiboot if it is.

Nah, it stays at the Nokia splash screen then shuts down. All I'm doing is cat the item file for Titan's kernel, copying the kernel line, opening nano ctrl-k the kernel line and then pasting. I verified the kernel does exsist in the rootfs. Could be something to do with the script that copies the rootfs to the other partition, the author of the scripts doesn't seem to have Titan's installed. I may muck with it some more but I do want to thank you again for your assistance.

Any time dude. one thing you should be aware of is that multiboot is funny with the kernels sometimes. It'll flash the device with the kernel and then shut down. second start it will go in. it also doesn't like you charging whilst booting and will throw you into a loop.

Monarge,
Sorry. Was on my phone last night and not sure others have this or just me. I don't have the option to thank or edit when using it, hence why I said thanks and not thanked.

Mate,
Having your head around the understanding of Multiboot. Are you able to advise how to use it to load Easy Debian if loaded on my MicoSD card partition 4 (mmcblk1p4)?

Stephen
