Did I actually read N8 Ģ598 save 10% on that video

That's still 931 dollars or 712 euros for a symbian handset.

Well that girl in the videos presented in the first posts in this thread is MURDERING the phone, no wonders it tried committing suicide :)

Symbian, IMHO, is a VERY good OS. And what most of the people here know as a bad experience with 'Symbian' is, in fact, false.
I bet neither any of you ever tried REAL Symbian, as most of Nokia's smartphones (if not all of them) were running S60, which is Nokia's VERSION of Symbian, e.g running a Symbian operating system with Nokia's Avkon UI.
The Avkon UI is what caused all the lagging, and was truly outdated. Symbian itself is a very agile and snappy OS, which takes very little resources and hence was able to run on phones with a CPU with less than 100MHZ clock speed.
Can Android or iOS do that? I highly doubt it.

Anyways, now that the development of Symbian is solely back in the hands of the Symbian Foundation, I hope we'll start seeing Symbian in its full glory (which is not in any chance represented by those videos I mentioned earlier).

Give some examples of such phones for reference.

If there wasn't Maemo i would still be a Symbian fanboy, even with all it's flaws; but with Maemo in the game, there is no other choice for me

Ericsson 380 and Nokia 9210 at 66 MHz I think. Even the P1i from 2007 only has a 200 MHz CPU.
