Whoa, whoa, it was clearly stated that those that got devices couldn't vote or pick who else got devices.

Where are you getting that from? If that were the case, I would be the soul judge and decider, as I was the only Council member not in the running.

The clarification, which we specifically asked Quim about this point in an open Council meeting, was that Council could not vote for themselves.

I was running for council.

What else would you like me to answer?

Nothing more, that should be pretty enough. Thanks for the answer.

Could restate your complaint without insulting others? I'm not clear exactly what your complaint is, since you started this with personal attacks and insults, and made several complaints all at once, many of which I addressed already. (Like assumptions about the nature of the competition, and the like.)

As you can see, I'm happy to reply to people on many topics around this issue. But if I'm replying, I expect you to read what I've written, and not blindly restate arguments that have already been answered. (Like why we aren't holding people to future contribution levels when CA was based on past performance.)

Also: The complaints about the Council election were not directed at you. If I were "targeting" you with that, I would have mentioned you by name. I'm far from shy on being blunt and obvious in that reguard. You should know that by now.

Regard*, I am really getting tired of rehashing this same argument, who are the people that were given devices, as looking through their accounts I don't see many meaningful contributions compared to certain other applicants.

Maybe I am not aware, I am willing to learn.

Also why did the council members that get devices have a say in who got picked?

I thought Quim explicitly said in the mailing list that if you get a device you can't be part of the group that chooses who gets a device.

At this point it's clear the voting was not as transparent or to the rules as everyone was originally told.

That explained nothing....

nvm, reading it now...

Edit: the line and I quote:

Estel_ Qgil, during last meetings, we agreed on method of handling submissions to CA, if Council member is also submitting. Popular request (mailing list, topic on TMO) was to have full council assigning prizes, just dropping voting about self-nomination (i.e. Sd69 don't decide about Sd69 being awarded, etc, but participate in deciding about other submissions) 21:09
Estel_ Are You ok with that? 21:09
Estel_ I've asked on mailing list, and You haven't opposed, but I would like to be 100% sure 21:10
qgil I have no opinion, it's you who decide 21:10

This is clear that it was left open, did you guys decide and not inform us? On the mailing list it was stated differently.

It does not change the thread in any way, that is true. But I was not questioning the thread ;)

Again, I don't get the purpose, I'm asking the purpose of your questions.
