Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
Suddenly I am experiencing a strange behavior with the application. Fapman does not find all the application as can be found by HAM. The application catalogue the same for both. For example I could not find Tracker-cf and Theme-customizer on Fapman while it was ok with HAM.
I uninstalled Fapman and reinstalled again but in vain. Did someone else experienced this? Can someone advise me what what to do. |
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
I can see both in searching for the apps. Are they not found in a search or are they not there at all? If the last then do you have exactly the same repos enabled in HAM as in Fapman? Sorry if this is obvious advice...
The mostly likely is that the package is blacklisted for whatever reason. Check this with the "C" filter. |
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
@handaxe - I have exactly the same repos enabled in HAM and in Fapman. I do not get any update on Fapman while I get it with HAM. It is very weird.
|
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
And you have checked that no blacklist is set as per my mention of the "c" filter?
|
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
@handaxe
"Check this with the "C" filter"... could you explain this better, as I've the same problem with Fapman? How I can check this? |

Go into "Manage repos" and disable every single repo. Does your application close? Is it supposed to close like that?? |

Version 0.6.6
* redesigned the main menu (icons from http://openiconlibrary.sourceforge.net) * fix: confirmation dialog has wrong parent set * fix: repos with blank "distribution" cause apt to fail * fix: crash when trying to update catalogs with all repos disabled * reset category filter to default when returning to main menu * improved error/warning messages in certain situations * show the maintainer field for packages |

Awesome. Bugs fixed :D Nice icons. Would it be possible to center horizontally and vertically icons in main view when in landscape mode or does it brake rotating? .edit see attach.maybe also icons in grayscale. or little green tint. |
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
The application "bt-hid-scripts" has a very big icon in the details view. Bug or feature?
I want to show all packages ("Advanced") always for upgrades but never for installable applications as default. Is this possible? |

Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
I've got an error everytime I install something since I installed the app "TwimGo".
Do you know what I could do to remove this error ? And I still can't update my apps x.x Thx 4 help Here's my log : [removed] //edit: Reinstalled TwimGo and the error is gone now. But still got a problem with the upgrades not showing up. |
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
Have you tried it via CLI?
sudo gainroot apt-get update apt-get upgrade What is the output of the last command? Are your repos correct and enabled? CLI apt-get uses the repos defined in HAM. |
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
Hey guys
.. Okay I did search... but I cannot find how to: Stop or decrease the time between HAM updating automatically I saw it somewhere few months ago, but never noted it down. For some reason I think MohammadAG told us. |

@flipalong
This has been already discussed in this thread. Please read it and be careful with tools given in messages. Make backup before removing anything. Good luck. |
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
This may have already been asked but i am having difficulty finding a solution:
When i try to update the catalogs i get the error message "Failed to update some or all of the catalogs. Check your network connection and/or repository configuration." I have checked them and all are ok. Anyone know what the problem could be please? |
Re: [Announce] Faster Application Manager (Maemo5)
Also when i use apt-get update i get a message at the end saying:
W: GPG error:http://moff.mozilla.com chinook Release: The following signatures couldn't be verified because the public key is not available: NO_PUBKEY 667387BFFF445C24 W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems |
