Did the same and have exactly the same 'problem'. Still old version number in about screen.

My only worry is that i don't know what else isn't updated. apt-get upgrade says that 0 have to be upgraded so i'm not sure why the about screen isn't updated.

Is there another way to force the update again in application manager or from command line?

I know a reflash is always possible but if i can prevent that, I will.

I'm in China, and I had to run the update through fapman twice to have it installed correctly. So far, no problem with my apps.

Thanks. That plus a few 'apt-cache rdepends' commands helped me confirm a problem with tuxracer. Uninstalling it allowed me to update OTA rather than force a NSU flash.

Details for those interested:
Turned out that 'tuxracer' depends on 'libgles1' which, in turn, depends on 'libgles1-sgx-img' (which was listed as the conflict in the problems tab within App Manager > Update > Maemo5 > Details).

(South Africa). I couldnt run the update through the normal App Man, So me being Mr smarty-pants went and did the update through "FasterDownloadManager". It dowloaded fine, and started installing. Got to about 60%...."Could not complete install. Some packages have not installed. You need to fix this manually. Good luck." Reflash .dat style. Alls good in the world. One bug though, Ctrl+n in browser sometimes does not want to load the web page. Anyone else seen this problem?

where the heck is official changelog?This thread and many others with people "reporting" fixed stuff is just waste of bits in server.I bet that this firmware was ready for many weeks and changelog should be released same time with fw.Same way as 1.2 had changelog and diff. Speaking about fixes etc is waste of time without that log.

So I think PR 1.3 (full firmware) is available globally.

But for partial update via NSU I think It's not fully available globally.
if i want to flash with global version and which file i have to download to flash emmc as well, do we have new version of it?

India.. updated thru NSU and its done.. but cant seem to get anything in Repositories :( .. when i try update.. it comes with nothing found.. searching now for any posts on the same

I still don't have the update either, I think its down to the handset code. I spoke to Nokia on Twitter yesterday and they said hopefully the update will be available for all codes soon, they couldn't give an ETA.

Hi All,

I flashed my UK firmware to a global firmware last night as I couldn't wait any longer.

This morning I noticed a number of installed programs in the app manager. They all seem to start libqtm ...

Should I really be seeing libqtm packages in the app manager? I never have before... It seems a bit odd being able to uninstall something so key to the OS...

It can't find that package using the reinstall command. apt-cache search can't find it either and dpkg --get-selections doesn't show it either..

I updated using nokia software installer no problems, BUT I would like to re flash using flasher 3.5 and at the same time re flash my mMMC as well

I have done this before without any problems but this time when I try and flash, Flasher3.5 just give me the name of the file and at the end a space and %m and nothing happens

Anyone got any ideas

I have just got it. I'm from Bulgaria. But I'm not sure that this is 1.3 because it was some bug fixes.

Fanboys blew the blog post in question out of all proportion.

The blog post said:

"The PR 1.3 update is quite close now, and with that you can easily dual boot between Maemo and Meego on your N900."

This should also be read in conjunction with the Meego installation instructions for N900.

Previously, this page said something to the effect of "the Maemo kernel does not have kexec support, so dual-boot doesn't work with the stock kernel".

In PR1.3, the kernel *does* support kexec, so it is will be possible to follow the instructions to install Meego dual-boot on N900 following the Meego instructions, without running a non-default kernel. Note that the installation instructions for Meego probably still need to be updated for Maemo PR1.3 ...

No one ever said that PR1.3 would actually ship Meego and offer dual-boot out-the-box, except fan-boys who can't read, and write junk on their blogs and twitter posts which they haven't even bothered to verify.

Ive not followed this thread and was wandering the difference between the 2 versions.

I updated OTA and was about 84 MB
On nokia tabs its 190 MB

Whats the difference ( apart from size )

Don't panic, even i don't get ( libqtm-messaging ) update
hence its better to flash and instal PR1.3 than doing a OTA update

The OTA update only contains the new packages. The firmware image has to contain everything - many packages are unchanged from the initial firmware release.
