when i was trying to get potriat mode..a few pages back i remember someone saying i had to place a file into rti-messages.ui it was a zip file. (messages.ccs i think) i unzipped and put them in the suggested folder...
now ive tried using my chat and i can see what the person says in the notification popup but when i open the chat i cant see the message...its blank..when i reply i can see what i type in the reply box but when i hit enter my message sends but it remains blank in the chat box...
i know ive done something wrong just cant figure what it is....
help please..thanks

That same post also says take backup of the changed files. If you've not, and need to get them back, you'll have to get someone to send them to you. I don't think they can be distributed because they are (c) Nokia.

They cant be distibuted but you can always run apt-get install --reinstall rtcom-messaging-ui to get the original files back.

Is it also possible to get 3 column task switcher?
The default on is 3 column but when more than 6 windows it changes to 4 column and I hate that :)
It would be good to write just "taskswitcher 3" in transitions.ini but I'm not sure it is implemented.

It's almost like forced rotation isn't designed for day-to-day use ;-p

Updates and tracking on http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/.../Portrait_mode appreciated, and updating http://wiki.maemo.org/Community_SSU/...t_applications with information on how they can be fixed in the CSSU even more so.

You don't need to do anything beyond follow the CSSU installation instructions to install the -testing version of the Community SSU.

If you want to enable force rotation (and, to be honest, I wouldn't), you can hack Conversations to render better in portrait mode by applying the patches tracked in #11976.

I would like to extend my thanks to everyone on this list and to those folk who aren't mentioned, but still played a part in keeping the Maemo Community alive.

Portrait mode is fantastic, taking the screenshot needed the help of another person, but wow it looks awesome! :)

I have lost the CSSU option to have upto to 9 desktops from my manage views taskbar again, no idea why apart from I was trying to change the backgrounds but I can't see why that should make he option disappear, is there anyway of getting it the option back as just rebooting doesn't seem to work?
