Any ETA on the new version that doesn't need R&D mode? Can you recommend a few good resources to get up to speed on making a custom rootfs for the N900? I really want to give Ubuntu 10.4 a shot.

the new NITdroid version + new multiboot can dualboot without r&d mode

Yes its still alive. Why would it die in 2 weeks?
