It says fixed in 2.2009.51-1 but is definitely an issue for me in 21.2011.38-1 (+CSSU +Thumb).

Related bugs (possible duplicates):

https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6880
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11925
https://bugs.maemo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=11993

One of those is mine! If we plan to keep modest around, I can take some of the egregious bugs (e.g. strlen/multi-byte issues).

(It looks like the current source is at: https://gitorious.org/community-ssu/modest; please someone correct me if I'm wrong.)

[Do I eventually get to stop guessing at address numbers in Google Streetview in order to post?]

@cnj: I guess you need to post a couple posts more to stop guessing numbers.

added this: https://bugs.maemo.org/post_bug.cgi

you should ask in the CSSU thread.

There's also https://garage.maemo.org/scm/?group_id=9
git clone https://vcs.maemo.org/git/modest

In case anyone comes across this, I haven't gotten around to looking at these yet... someone else should feel free to take them (or update Claws? Modest and tinymail last I looked had much deeper issues than just the text processing; e.g. poorly implemented iDLE, antiquated subscription handling, and generally fewer features and support than Sylpheed/Claws).

If I've some time I'll get back around to them, but getting a Maemo build system up-and-running seems to have gotten a little more time consuming over the last five years.

Please take a look into cssu devel.
There you will find latest debs and sources. There should also be a git (but I do not know where, info will be in this forum).

About maemo development take a look into endsormeans distro:

Still wanting an application that presents the N900 as bluetooth mousepad + keyboard. Is it really that hard to make?

There already is one called BlueMaemo

http://maemo.org/packages/view/bluemaemo/

EDIT: I now feel dumb for not reading the thread.

Bluemaemo is a mess. Maybe I will try to hack something together with the use of hidclient and Bluemaemo source. But I think I am not competent enough to make that happenz

nokia n900 can do everything but I think we need a video player that could easily play HD stuff, that's it . something like vlc.

To be repair:
- Lastfm scrobbler
- GTranslate (I guess google have changed something, not working since then)
- Fb chat integration
- Fb photo sharing integration

would be nice to have
- headset support with working music controls to older Nseries headsets like AD-43
- equalizer on Open Media Player
