Added another collum to the spreadsheet for "Shipping Address Different Then Billing". It would be interesting to know if the rumor about later shipping dates for different addresses is true.

I spoke with a supervisor on the phone...

He said on notes for dell it said They will be releasing this phone on the 24th

So i think alot of orders will be going out..


I tried to talk to like 3 differnt people on the phone each time i got something different...

What i can see is i think dell will start shipping them out tommorow which is the 24th... Like nokia has puted on the notes for dell :)

can some one who ordered on 18th or later and have their item shipped send me his or her order #?

i was on the phone with a dell rep to check why my phone is not getting shipped where as others who ordered after me is already getting the phone. she said she can help check on it if i have the order no of ppl whose orders got shipped.. i have got her extn and told her that i will get back with the order #..

so would be helpful if some one can send me the order #.. i am asking for only the ones that got shipped, now that the phone is shipped they won't be able to do anything to the order.. :-)

if someone has an order number you can also send it to me. I was argueing with the manager as to why some have received a ship date and some have not even though we placed it on the 5th of Nov. He wanted an order number to confirm if this is true or not. His ext is 6125427 forgot his name.

if you look at the spreadsheet we have going, the vast majority of us have not reported our orders as being marked as shipped. Also, most of us ordered on Nov 5th. I know everyone is anxious, but it seems a bit premature to be calling Dell complaining that yours hasn't shipped yet...

The list was started for only us who placed orders on the 5th. So that explains why we are such a big part of the list.

For example my order placed on the 19th of Nov is not listed there, exactly for the above reason. Even though the one from the 19th appears as shipped as well. I got the IMEI numbers on both phones here, so they´ve definitely allocated sets to me.

For the people who do call or write though, I think it might be helpful if you ask the CSR to note any promises on the account (i.e., if they say it will be shipping out the 24th, say, "Thanks, could you please make a note of that on my account?"). This not only might help you out, but if say I'm still waiting to get news come tomorrow, being able to say "look, you promised these people it would be out yesterday, what's changed?" might be helpful.

I do not think its premature to call and inquire for order status. Even if only a dozen where shipped out it means that dell is shipping. I think it makes sense for any one that has a preorder to want to know as to how these n900's are being allocated. If alot of customers call in to inquire than it would put more pressure on them to give us something more solid instead of just brushing us off.

1. Dell does not stock phones.
2. They ship from source, but have Dell invoice.

They do not like stuff on their inventory books if they can avoid it. All printers, phones, etc are through consignment. Even their Dell brand printers are rebranded Lexmark printers that Lexmark shikps for them except for some rare bundle deals.

called dell again they are having technical difficulties and cannot pull any account so was advised to call back after 24 hours.

I don´t know. Last time I got a phone from Dell, a Nokia N97 I did never get more information than I have now.

I shipped it the cheapo way, just same as now, and I was never able to track it. It just appeared at the date they gave when they sent out the "shipped" email.

All I know is that the payment of for 2 N900s from Dell has been finalized, and I´ve gotten the shipped emails and the invoices which contain the IMEI numbers of the devices.

I also ordered on the 5th and just called. I have not received the shipping email either. The Dell CSR says when looking into my specific order #, it days est. shipping date of 11/24 also. I find it surprising that some have received the emails and others haven't, but the 24th seems to be a pretty common date. I guess all we can do is wait... bummer... :)

^ based on the spreadsheet, i dont think we have any set patterns as to why some people had theirs shipped yesterday and today while other's haven't. its just all a waiting game at this point :\

I think that like a few made it through direct channels to Nokia stores, so did some for Dell orders- same channel.

Most of us will get our orders in December.

Not only is dell getting screwed with the coupon snafu, but they are also getting screwed by everybody calling their expensive *** call center in India. Doesn't every call cost something like several dollars if not more?

My order updated and is shipping next day business. It updated early this morning I guess, so Wednesday delivery.

Yup mine changed this morning with tracking number. Shipped out yesterday overnight delivery! It is on the truck to be delivered by 3:00pm today. And I only ordered Nov. 19th

The cheapest price in the USA is probably Amazon right now. Dell if you want to jump through a few hoops (e.g. buy a Dell gift card worth $200 for $160 dollars on eBay). Try coupon codes that may or may not work if Dell has caught them yet.

But outright plain purchasing, Amazon is the cheapest at the moment.

I hate that. In the states amazon is the cheapes and in europe its one of the most expensive web shops if you want a N900.
