Okay well since itsnotabigtruck made a loader, we don't need opensh or aegisctl. Just make sure the pasiv thing worked.

loader is one of the deb files, it installs the kernel modules for you. one is the ui, other is the loader.
I just updated the loader, it should say 1.5.2

well you have to do everything from the command line, using incept. You don't need root or anything to install with that. If it gives an error, incept isn't installed properly, so go back to itsnotabigtruck's inception site and start over.

nah it's not crucial, it only kills the package manager in case it's running. If you skip that it usually works fine, if you get an error saying the database is in use just wait 2 minutes and try again.

you can't install the deb directly, we denied that because it won't work if you do.
you HAVE to incept it
type the command in the first post. /usr/sbin/incept before the name of the deb.

Could device get laggy and irresponsive at high frequency due to dsp ? because is not overclocked ?

/home/user/MyDocs/.downloads opptimizer_1.5.2_armel.deb

why did you put the file in .downloads and not in Downloads, or even better directly in MyDocs?

Also the line above should be:
/usr/sbin/incept /home/user/MyDocs/.downloads/opptimizer_1.5.2_armel.deb

Now i got it. Thanks. I thought that those should put in two pieces.
and i didn't put those files there, they went automaticly there.
so what should i put to voltage and frequency first.?

So does opptimizer have to run on background to work? Or can i stop it and still run that GHz i put it.

Leaving lurker mode and registering on the site to send out big props and thanks to Creamy Goodness and It'sNotABigTruck for their work on this project (and all of the people who have been giving advice.

Took a few tries for a newb like me but eventually it took. I'm not sure if I should be concerned about deactivating AEGIS. I tried changing the passwords from stock but somehow they didn't "take". I need to find a linux pro to help me, I think. I'm curious if I can just deactivate aegisctl now that everything is dl'd, incepted and installed (and working).

I got the phone to run at 1.1MHz without crashing. It makes the phone much more responsive.

I'm not sure where to set the voltage or to just leave it stock. 1.2 and 1.3MHz would crash so I'm not sure if I played with the voltage if I couldn't get a bit more performance, but either way, even at 1.1MHz it makes the interface smoother, so thanks. Need to fire up PP next. :) - nm, PP/WP found/done

nice work

it would help if we had a table of stable voltage/freq. as part of the 1st post so we could eliminate some hit & trials :D

Since overclocking my N9's screen stays black. I can only get low power mode screen to show.........?????? This is even after changing settings to default. I turned it off and back on, it seems too be okay now....

Plus, when I first tried this app, my N9 passed 1300mhz test with default voltage, now it cant even do 1200mhz......????????

Anyone else having similar problems???????

HanzBlix 2012-04-30 05:13

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.2] [ui v1.0]

Well I once had the same issue with only low power mode screen due to excessive OC or wrong voltage, whatever, but no extra issues like not being able to do previous tested frequencies though.
I'm sure so long as you're using an appropriate voltage with your freq you should be fine, assuming it's not a bug or cpu getting more and more fried from pushing to 1300 etc.

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.2] [ui v1.0]

So far 1300mhz with 1375000 voltage has been my lucky numbers. Been running three days now and no problems. Here is what I've tried so far:

1100mhz
1200000V (fine)
1250000v (reboot)
1300000v (reboot)
1350000v (reboot)
1375000v (fine)
1200mhz
1200000v (reboot)
1250000v (reboot)
1300000v (reboot)
1350000v (reboot)
1375000v (fine)
1300mhz
1200000v (fine until I listened to music)
1250000v (reboot)
1350000v (reboot)
1375000v (fine) the best for me so far other than 1100mhz and stock
1400mhz
1375000v (fine for about half a day then reboot)

I still want to try other combos, but don't know about other voltages at higher freqs just yet (1300+). The highest temp my phone has reached via Conky has been 33.5. It hasn't quite warmed up here in the northeast states yet, but the phone is always in my pocket. Again thanks to Creamy and Bigtruck the phone is much much better in every respect of my usage :)

Re: overclocking kernel modules + UI for PR1.2 [ko v1.5.2] [ui v1.0]

I got the best performance so far at 1250 MHz with 1275000 µV.
My "benchmarks" are the stress test in opptimizer (23sec for 3000 iterations) and app loading time of Maps (12 sec from clicking the icon to keyboard appearing to search for something).

So Maps loads about 3 times faster than before. Quite good, but still not impressive...
Many other things are a lot faster though (settings, stock browser, keyboard, messages). Twitter seems to be almost unaffected, which is bad. Also Spotify still isn't really fast.

My sweet spot is 1300MHz and 1337500 SR enable.
It's working 1325000 too, but there is something that i don't like..

OH my god! Reflash, restore and my clean Facebook is back!!!! Can i get that kernel module versio 1.5.1 somehow?? I want to try if it fix it..

Ok i found the way to get 1.5.1. I will try it and let you know.

It's not working :(. Please someone help. I installed this too http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php...ghlight=faster, could it cause the problem? Could i get it fixed by delete some file/s at /home/user ?

For now it seems to be stable at 1375 MHz with smartReflex on and voltage at 1375000.
Need litlle more testing to be shure.

It was denied when you tried to install opptimizer_1.5.2. Therefore you don't have the modules installed.

Try to delete signature.local which should be located same as your opptimizer file and give it a kick again. It should work.

If not, uninstall opptimizer_1.5.1, delete signature.local, reboot (?) and then install opptimizer_1.5.2 then opptimizer-ui.

The method above works for me. But there may be some better ways from others to solve this.
