Preforming this right now Thanks DJ_steve.

Will post results with my wi-fi and let you guys know if it worked or not.

It installed abnormally quick, It did not work. I am still on 2.6.28.NIT.05 according to Kernel version in Androind on my N900.

This was my previous installation. I believe it did not install on top of it or replace it.

I want to run this in terminal emulator:
"ifconfig usb0 192.168.2.2 netmask 255.255.255.0"
but I need root access so...
How do I gain root in terminal emulator? tried "su" but it gives me permission denied.

That's pretty Off-Topic, isn't it?

Install rootsh package and run the command root (works like sudo su -) before executing Your command.

Any difference in the auto-installed version to the the latest manual install method version?

I'm no Android expert (never tried it) but how about sudo <command>?

I get cannot mount mmcblk1p2 hit any key to panic when trying to boot into NITDroid using auto installer.Worked fine when I did it manually. Re-extracting and installing again see if it makes any difference.

EDIT:- Re extracted and installed seems to have done the trick :)

cannot create /home/user/Mydocs/.nitdroid/installer.log: nonexistent directory

simple just mkdir .nitdroid. it will run fine

That's now fixed, so no need to do this any more.

Just 'apt-get install nitdroid-installer' and you get the latest.

AND PLEASE MOVE THE DISCUSSION INTO

Ok downloaded and installed AUTOMATICALLY! wow this is WIN!

Text density is changed as DJ_steve mentioned, makes everything bigger.
Wi-fi still does not work for my home.

I'll test it out at my friend's house again as his works with my android but everything appears to be much more snappier!
