It has been four years since the first Rover prototype pictures leaked out (http://www.engadget.com/2009/05/25/n...blet-unveiled/). Hardware has long since passed it by. That said, the N900 has an openness and "jack-of-all trades" feel to it that I just don't get with the "latest and greatest" devices.

That's a big reason why I left the N9 after only a few months, to go back to the N900. As of 2013, I accept the limitations and quirkiness of the N900 because there really isn't anything else out there that can match N900 on many of the things that I happen to value in a device.

i just thought decoders and all those stuff are getting old and needs to be updated, i don't know i just thought that, but anyways thanks.

Downscaling hd videos?? So that it plays at black and white at least:)

then also i think to lower the quality the dsp has to decode it ri8:?:)

Actually there exist 720p codecs for OMAP3 that don't need OC, which split the work between DSP and CPU.

Unfortunately those are only available on some old android devices. Feel free to contact Ittiam and ask for the price for porting to N900. Or ask HiFo BoD to do that ;)
