Then follow the instructions on the first page of this thread :) . If you already did that, you can check if you have cssu-thumb installed by going to "settings->about community ssu ". Version there should be "21.2011.38-1Tmaemo7.2+thumb0"

Ah.
Confusion between Stable CSSU and "Stable Thumb" which is actually part of the CSSU Testing branch.
Easy to get confused if your not keeping up with Maemo. :)

So the issues are with the shiny interactive widgets. Like foreca, maxcpu, fm transmitter. Please recompile and revisit these packages:
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...g-5maemo4+0m5/
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...3-9.osso9+0m5/
http://maemo.org/packages/package_in...3-9.osso9+0m5/
The Thumb2 versions are broken, and installing those debs solved the issues. Everything works like a charm.

Good luck with coding!

Other packages that are available with thumb2 are on my phone. Just like the full today's update.

Hmm? Would you elaborate on that? Where did you get thumb2 versions of the above packages? Are you sure you don't have cssu-devel repo enabled? As I (and others who update to 7.1-thumb1 or 7.2-thumb0) have those on our devices, it is only you having troubles. BTW what exactly is the problem with those widgets?

Re: [ANNOUNCE] CSSU-thumb thread - stable Thumb2 on N900

So, let's start it again.
I have N900, KP51, CSSU-testing, CSSU-thumb2 installed in this order. When appman notifies me from new updates, I ignore it, open up terminal and use apt-get upgrade to see the changes, also I quickly create an applauncherd-launcher folder in /usr/share/doc/. This is the method I am using. The last shocking effective update was the gstreamer one.

2013.01.07 01:40 GMT+1. I see a notification on the top bar. CSSU thumb2. Ignore-terminal-upgrade-reboot. When the desktop starts to load widgets, the system hangs, and reboots in a quiet normal and slow way. Only QtBatterywidget could survive.
The update contained some libxml2 zlib and libpng.
I was really nervous, but I had to sleep, so I shut down the phone and went to sleep.
Today afternoon I came here to this forum. Saw this: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p...postcount=1195
I wasn't very happy...
So I thought I will have to downgrade those 3 packages. After some searching and failure with this: http://askubuntu.com/questions/13828...ge-via-apt-get
I installed them through dpkg. (zlib osso was not found by the phone)

How I managed to install them? Simply. System booted, Nokia logo, no lag. Desktop came in. I went into app drawer, opened a terminal, shut down hildon-home before it crashes the whole system (http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?t=83836), connected to wifi, and locked screen on with simple brightness applet. After that I used USB connection, and the dpkg -i command. That's all. Those 3 packages new thumb versions are downgraded to osso, but it's working properly. I just put those widgets to desktop again. (yes I use grid on desktop, but with a custom edition of SMOOTH transitions I have downloaded from this forum, and with HWsync on)

Community SSU, community SSU devel disabled, community testing, community thumb2 are enabled for me.

Do you have an idea what's wrong? Do you need further information, or is my english so bad that you can't understand? I can try it again.

EDIT: When I connected with the half-working phone to wifi, I upgraded to 07.01.2013 - 21.2011.38-1Tmaemo7.2+thumb0. And rebooted before continuing. The 3 package downgrades happened after that.
