Apparently they've got a plan to raise new money in order to pay existing tablet buyers off. What could go wrong? :p

Am I understanding this correctly? According to this post on Jolla help site I cannot log on to Jolla shopping using account info without having placed an order. Since I have not placed an order I can't log on. On the other hand, I was able to download an app on my Jolla phone so presumably I do have some kind of an account.

Jolla shop account is not the same as harbour account.

Thats what is seems to say -

"Please note that at the moment you cannot log in to the Jolla webshop with your Jolla account credentials"

Two different systems using the same login details - but only after you have placed an order with the webshop, its at this point that you probably enter your original login details.

Edit: What juiceme said

Re: The Future of Jolla's Tablet

Ok. Well, I was one of the first 2000 that ordered. But a bit too far down the line to get one of the 500 or so available tablets (so much for being an early sailor lol). So, hopefully, I will at least get the partial refund. How can I know for certain that Jolla knows I am eligible for the refund as I am concerned that information could get lost at the bottom of the sea. I'm not interested in hassling the company. I only want to confirm things are in order.

I'll be really interested to see what the maximum order number fulfilled is. I think a few of the lower ones may want refunds instead. It's been a long time. I think people in the second thousand may end up with tablets if they want them.

Also, what happens when they run out of 64 or 32GB ones? Do they skip people, or offer them the other? What if they run out of 32GBs? Do they tell you to pay more or take the refund?

Someone posted this on TJC. This must be just for the shop preorder customers not the IGG contributors.

I meant that Jolla has no time backers to give us (tablet backers) our half money back. Planned in February ... but after MWC16 is already march!

Well, you never know. Although, unlikely as this sea saga is getting old, maybe Jolla will WOW somebody with deep pockets at MWC.

I haven't tried to do this since I ordered the tablet. Until yesterday. - have sent two requests to get my password reset. It's been more than 12 hours and I have had no response. Any tips on contacting Jolla another way? I can't find anything on their minimalist site.

Well, unless you want to place an order for a phone we are in the same boat! Sorry. I'll stop with the sea allegory stuff. Actually I think Elop started all this with the burning platform business. Maybe he was a visionary after all!

Speaking as somebody who's been along for MWC.. the Sailfish Girls are really good value for the money. Attracts customers by engaging them, fields basic questions, knows who to poke for advanced questions, etc. Especially when you are a booth full of Finnish people that aren't the most social in the world.

Don't ask me about the first year though, that was maybe a bit extreme..

Are you going to MWC as self employed/independent or part of Jolla crew?

OFC...
The only issue is that Jolla will pay them half soon and the rest never.

I'm planning to hire some models and dress them in scamfish shirts...and parade around the jolla booth. Thinking of fly in Derek and Hansel. They are so hot right now.

It's me and Donald Trump that is in full boycott :D

Nah, that's bad company, he called a woman bad words, should be disqualified instantly, thank god for freedom of speech, we should be definitely in 'company' of this woman:

30 years of politics can really change one's mind, gay marriage, resegregation, banksters, NAFTA... This woman has changed a lot, though mostly her own mind when the wind blew. This guy, now that is a devil, he speaks his own mind lol, stop him! Plays media like a fiddle, dangerous!!! lol

Could also mean the old "mark as gift" trick to save tax gone wrong?

Try again!
From my experience Chinese sellers first try the cheepest route for themselfes and only suggest a proper working way after it failed.

I had a similar message when ordering a batch of ipcams ~300€ and got them delivered in second attempt via fedex.
Still marked as gift by the seller but "corrected" with western handwritten remarks, seamingly done by local customs and/or fedex staff.
