depend on what you're looking for, each app has their own advantages and diadvantages....ovi map is great with data but still not as good if you need REAL navigation....took a wrong turn while using ovi map once and it was damn near impossible to ovi to reroute...too a lot of restraining to not toss my phone out the freeway....

Sygic had some minor issues for me but after some modding, it works great now....it completes my phone....:D

EXCUSE ME, SYGIC TEAM! IT'S NOT YOUR FAULT, I'M GUILTY!!! (when I drive near that .upis pois, it crash... and if I'm far enought, all works fine. Sorry!)

Have you figured out why that UPI made it crash? It's happening to me too so I figured maybe we could find something common.

In the US, my attempts with Sygic have just been okay. I will use it for emergencies but not as a replacement for a gps unit. For starters, the routing algo isn't good. I do not get an option to chose which route (the only way is to go to options and change your hwy/street preferences) I want to take and default one 'sometimes' coincides with the best suggested route of google maps (that's my reference since I have used it many many times and works almost perfectly balancing highway and local roads).

Sygic has to work on their routing algo and also with more user options. Currently there is no way to integrate online search with inbuilt maps. That's what a data enabled gps unit should be progressing toward and not as a replacement for a dumb gps unit.

Sorry for this question, but i've read a lot and im so confused if it is an HW problem or SW problem and if it exist a workarround or not :s

My GPS don't lock, and sometimes it need about 50 mins to lock .. one time..it locked in 2 minuts..but just that time..

Any help directly to this subject please?

No, i'm only using the GPS to get the signal, dont want to spend € on GPRS connection (ok, if i need the GPRS to get he GPS locked and then i can turn it off..)

So..it a trick or..?
How is the best way to use Sygic only with GPS, but not have to wait ' 2 days' to GPS locks?

after installing the 7.71.1 version all settings need to be re-entered and all mods re-applied (if need be)

I can't judge the routing quality improvement (if any) nor the GPS tracking/lag improvements as the only thing here moving is my mouse and my hands on my keyboard.
Auto rotation DOES works fine.

No further/new user definable settings I can find/notice in the menus.

Anyone more observations ?
