yes yours is the latest....

You could have:

• Searched the forums
• Read this post..
• Checked the wiki

Now for your homework you need to try each of these and report back with how to do it for other users :)

Searching the forums was supposed to b a long.. No need of a kind teacher like you if you have to search in forums.. But i read the first or second page of this forum and they write there as .002 instead of .003 so i asked...

How to check Wiki, I dont know. Good teacher please tell??

Your options are as follows:
1) Search the forums - self explaintory :)

2) Wiki - http://wiki.maemo.org/Main_Page
- Wiki search for firmware - http://wiki.maemo.org/Special:Search...firmware&go=Go
(For some odd reason the wiki is under community on the top menu bar)

- First link takes you to the "How to update firmware page" - http://wiki.maemo.org/Updating_the_firmware - in there you can find the following:

"Download the latest firmware (.bin) file"

Ok, looooong way, but took me 2 mins to find and read...

Go visit that link, and it will tell you the latest firmware that your imei / phone can handle :)

Thanks Rob. It worked after flashing the eMMC.

It took me several hours to repair the damage and I really didn't need that.

However the data will be put on the usual set of CD's and mailed to the wrong person so no h done! lol :D

Actually wasn't it the US government that mandated all new handset had GPS transmission under the pretext of helping emergency services?

It wouldve helped the emergency services more if they actually put some GPS receiver on every citizen's head... and some sensor their organs to see if they are performing properly or not...
U wouldnt even need to call 112 / 999 / 911 .... the ambulance will b at ur door even before u realise somethings wrong with u..:D:D

Still nothing here UK generic (203)...

I hate to state the bl****** obvious but this is clearly another area where Nokia trails behind the competition - never had any issue whatsoever upgrading the OS on my iTouch (after I'd paid Apple's fees that is but then, I was at least getting some fairly major new functionality for my bucks)...

How hard can this be??? And it's not like the UK is a minor market for Nokia is it?

And indeed, as reported by many here, the issues I had in getting proper UK updates for my N95 in the days made me think very hard about jumping ship...
