how to overclock dsp ? I followed first post everything did go well some non playeable videos playing slowly . I did try to overclock dsp by messing with files in kernel config then i realised there is a dsp profile provided in the folder so i did try kernel-config load dsp it loaded succesfully and also tried kernel-config lock 805 it locked frequency . What am i doing wrong ? Did i messed the files in kernel power settings ? Or what i am on thumb

loading dsp kernel profile is enough to overclock the DSP to 600MHz max.

Of course some videos won't play smoothly, cabac is too heavy for C64x DSP

By using dsp profile, what voltages does it use? lv, xlv, ideal?

It uses smartreflex which renders voltage profiles useless as voltage is calculated on the go

is it really impossible to play perfect 720p HD videos? and Recording Video Perfectly (Without that slowness happens while recording and stuck sometimes).

Excuse me, but my 720 videos are *perfect*. As title states, this allow to play and record 720p videos, so I don't get what's not working for you.

If your perception of perfect doesn't see perfectness of perfect videos that are working already, it's your fault.

Now, if by any means you had something serious in mind - like, "it is really impossible to play 720p <whatever> profile of some codec - instead of absolutely meaningless, subjective terms like "perfect" - then, the answer is:

NO.

As said thousand of times, what we got is best we can expect. There is theoretical possibility of using some obscure "thing" that shared decoding between few components*, and used to work for some certain android devices (with worse hardware), but it is all proprietary, abandoned, and unportable without developer's will. Furthermore, they don't answer to contact attempts, even through their "official" channels.

Even if they would, there is ~0 hope, that they would like to share their IP (Intellectual Property, not address...) instead of demanding ridiculous price for sources. So, the "last" possibility remains purely theoretical.

*I don't want to make up details and can't be bothered to search for it, but wasn't it sharing between CPU and DSP?

not really, voltages still matter, try that: create a new profile and set voltages to 0 & enable smartreflex, then apply it

Your device will hang, but that will only mean that your initial conditions for SR are wrongly set. Not that initial voltages matter for what SR will set if given chance
