Not overlooking, omitting deliberately. Because this is such a high level UI thing that if a device type makes a difference then the OS is seriously, totally messed up. I could not believe that Jolla could do that, could they?

Did you try with browser on the foreground?

Yes, I did, following your update. Still cannot reproduce. Let me try again after 5 minutes...

EDIT:
Yes, I can reproduce it. With Browser in the foreground. If I let the screen sleep for long enough (at least the period defined in Settings -> Device lock -> Automatic locking. Regardless of whether the locking was "automatic" or not.

Excellent!

Raised an issue about it; bug-unlocking-device-with-swipe-to-right-does-not-always-go-to-events-screen

Even if the device does not get locked, the behaviour seems different.

Actual case
1. Open any app (other than browser) in foreground
2. Swipe down and tap on lock icon
3. Double tap or push power button to unlock
4. You are presented with the lock screen to either swipe left or right

Buggy case
1. Open browser in foreground
2. Swipe down and tap lock icon
3. Double tap or push power button to unlock
4. Browser magically opens, skipping the lock screen

OK, then that must be a separate bug as my device works like the "Actual case" even with browser :)

Interesting. My device behaved as in "actual case" as well, just now.

Although I could reproduce the "buggy case". Looks like, the "buggy case" I mentioned happens only after the bug you reported is executed at least once. Open browser in foreground, double press lock button and then unlock and swipe left and instead of events view browser opens (the actual reported bug). Now if you try the "buggy case" I mentioned, it behaves just as mentioned.

Re: Sailfish 3.0.0.5 Lemmenjoki EA

actually there is one more bug related to apps opened in foreground but already reported by me to Jolla.
Open app for example Messages
Lock the screen
Unlock the screen by double tap
Open menu by swiping from the bottom (on the lock screen)
Try to open Messages by taping Massages app icon. On the first tap nothing happening. On the second tap you can see opened app.

So it looks like they have some problems with opened apps and lock screen.

Foreground tasks are tasks that are visible to the user. In mobile environment, where tasks tend to run on full screen, only one task can be in the foreground.

Background tasks are all other tasks. It could be any other application that is not currently shown on the screen, or it could be a daemon or a service that does not even have a screen. Which one it is depends on the context.

@atlochowski, I can confirm that too. At first I thought, what on earth is he on about, a swipe from the bottom in the lock screen opens the camera! But then I found you can switch that off ;)
