Removing the title made the thing get really confused. Rebooting made all the widgets change command displayed (apparently to a random empty-titled command), and so did adding or changing widgets. And they traded places (on the home screens), so adding one could make it appear on another home screen with another command.

Put a checkbox "Show title" in there, maybe? Or leave it up to the command output?

"Users: always taking use cases to the extreme" :)
Well, in fact that WAS and to some extent STILL IS an issue.

Do you confirm this ALL confused issue in the last version? I just added 4 "no title" widgets here.. rebooted and everything is in the same place working correctly. What I do can replicate is that whenever you click on the settings it can't figure out which one to highlight in the touch area so if you save your settings.. it will change your command to the last "no title" command on the list.

I have some ideas for fixes and a checkbox "display title" is a good idea.

Thanks for all the love for it!! I have many ideas for scripts but all my spare time (which is very rare) is going for the small necessary fixes.
(I'm currently finishing my thesis and getting to travel all around Europe in the weekends.. =] )

Naah... command output without title isn't that extreme, is it?

No, but I could do that for you later today. But if you add the checkbox it shouldn't be necessary, right?

Try changing some configurations, and then rebooting, maybe?

Anyway, adding a "Don't show title" checkbox, and preventing stupid users from adding commands without a title, should solve the problem once and for all.

Yeah, I think the issue may be when you edit configuration...

If you want I can look at code with a view to adding some patches. I'll be honest, I'm pretty noobish with gtk and maemo development but I can give it a shot? Just link me to the source.

(I am about to hit a long weekend, can you tell?)

In addition to that, maybe automatically centering the text when the title isn't displayed. I mean, since there's no title at the left, there's no reason aligning the other text at the right, right? ;)

Version 0.9 in -testing !
Please test it (and vote at garage! =]) so we can finally promote it to extras.

This new version includes a "Display Title" checkbox and some bugfixes for commands without titles (or with equal titles).

You can vote (if you approve this version) here .

I know I took a long time to do this.. but anyway..

I noticed that this version actually deleted all my previous custom commands that I had. Not a biggie but important info for some.

For the Internal IP, how can i not display the loopback address of 127:0.0.1?

Removing the user's old commands was "necessary" since the syntax of some of the configuration file changed a bit; this version is supposed to go to extras so it should work on every device no matter of what version (or absence of) one had before =/.

As for the Internal IP, when I connect to 3g it shows an IP here..

I accidently deleted this app off my desktop page and the only way I could find to get it back was to uninstall and then reinstall it. Is there a simpler method for future reference please???

Search the phone manual for adding widgets to your desktop... :D
Basically you have to click in an empty space then on the gear that will appear on the top of the desktop. This will unveil the "edit mode". Now clicking on the top bar will show lots of options.. one of them is "Add Widget"... there you go!

maybe someone wants to make a wiki entry for collected commands :)
http://wiki.maemo.org/Contributing_to_the_wiki

edit: ok.. i should have it installed before posting this... there is a nice collection within the widget :D
but maybe a wiki is a nice idea too xD

edit2: like it VERY much! <3
