This problem has also affected Win Mo phones as well. My mum has a Tosh TG01 and used to use full site.

Facebook always loads in mobile version???

bit of a newby question but for the past few days when i click my facebook shortcut on my desktop it loads the mobile version? it used to load the full version, ive tried different internet connections but that has made no difference? also does this with youtube, thanks in advance

It's possible, as Facebook did once set up a special exception in their code for the Maemo Browser on Internet Tablets.

Back in 2008, Facebook redirected everything with a Nokia useragent from www.facebook.com to the Facebook WAP site. The Maemo Browser knew nothing of WAP then, just as now, so we went through the same "change your useragent", "complain to Facebook", and "the iPhone site still works" posts we're seeing in this thread.

Back then, complaining worked. It will be interesting to compare Facebook's responsiveness between "completely inaccessible to a small number of users" then and "inconvenient for a larger number of users" today.

That's bug 6269, "Can't reuse the name of a bookmark that has been deleted", which is fixed in PR1.2.

For now, name your new Facebook bookmark something more than just "Facebook".
