Re: Nokia wants new CEO: Report
Not all of the analysts support having Elop fired, though I certainly do. Take a look at this:
http://messages.finance.yahoo.com/St...mview?bn=23441 If a CEOs job requires him to inspire his workforce, innovate, and releasing compelling products in a timely manner that matches or leads the pace at which he competitors issue releases, then Elop has failed miserably and deserves to go. The truth is that this dude defines what it really means to be an utterly inept CEO. Hopefully, Nokia's board of directors wakes up tomorrow and sees the light to send Elop on his way off of a burning platform without any severance. |
Re: Nokia wants new CEO: Report
let wp come and then we will decide about ELOP.. for me he is doing a fine job!!!

If he is a good CEO then he will make this WP platform the best thing since sliced bread because if it is unsupported and unfinished anythng like Maemo was and Meego still is then Nokia will be looking for a new CEO before the end of the year !. |

Oh, crud.
I thought this was a new thread. :´( |
Re: Nokia wants new CEO: Report
Microsoft have tons and tons of applications and games already at there disposal and i can bet you the WP os will have the best of everythng installed from the word go including Office, a very luxury Satnav and many many games.
The email client will be probably faultless as with MMS and TXT messaging, none of will have any of the problems Maemo had and Meego may well have as it is unfinished. I wait with baited breath but i am NOT a Microsoft fan just to put the record straight on here. |
Re: Nokia wants new CEO: Report
I _do_ know better than to discuss with abill, so I will merely point out that the WP os is already in sale, so his claims are easy to compare to the reality.

Re: Nokia wants new CEO: Report
Rhetorics and hyperboles.
If one is a good CEO then he will make his company the best in its business in the world. Carving their niche with superior USP and driving innovation to bring continued success for their organization and to build up their brand name, yadda yadda. Sure. How? Is it realistic enough? |

As far as the Elop being a good or bad CEO the numbers speak for themselves but we will have to wait until Microsoft delivers another fail in their history of fails in the mobile market before we see him, his strategy, and his war of ecosystems(WoE :D as in WoW) departure from nokia if there's a nokia left at that point. |
