Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
I tried BlueMaemo with my PC and PS3 and its very nice.
Has anyone had any trouble with their N900 getting stuck in a reboot loop that could be related to bluemaemo? The next time I tried using my bluetooth headset, after using bluemaemo, it went into a persistent reboot loop. The problem might not have anything to due with bluemaemo. All I know is the bluetooth triggered the reboots. I could recover but trying bluetooth again repeated the same results. Once I recovered from the loop and turned bluetooth off and back on, the problem went away. Rebooting didn't make the problem go away, but cycling the bluetooth on/off did. Once I get home tonight I will try again with PS3 and see if I can repeat the results. |

BlueMaemo doesn't modify any of the configurations, so probably this issue is caused by something else. |
Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
I just tried running BlueMaemo with my Windows 7 64 computer .. Didn't work .. :(
Bluetooth temporarily connects for like 10 seconds (although none of the controls work!), and then reports that its been disconnected .. Any solution for this problem ? |
Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
Somehow it does not work for me, all i get is:
(Same with -f for Forced) Code:
Nokia-N800-43-7:~# apt-get install bluemaemo Code:
Nokia-N800-43-7:~# apt-get install efl-core Code:
deb http://catalogue.tableteer.nokia.com/updates/diablo-2/ ./ |

You have a big mixture of package repositories, probably there are some versions conflicts in the BlueMaemo dependencies. |
Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
Diablo, if anyone has a "nice" list of sources for Diablo (its in /etc/apt/sources.list.d/hildon-application-manager.list) i would try if that is the issue.
EDIT: yes, tryed application manager - give me dependency errors, the same as pasted above. |
Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
hi,
i'm having some trouble trying to connect to my ps3. I parreled it but on reconnect button only apears my n900 bluetooth name... when I connect to myself, the connection ends in no longer than 10 secs... and, of course, none of the buttons do anything to the ps3. the device appears as parraled in the Ps3 system. does anyone know how to fix this? |

Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
Nervermind - got it working with my Windows 7 without problems.
Works with Bluesoleil Program, without problems - Device needs to be Paired normal BEFORE opening the HID Connection. Typing is a bit weird since i use german KB layout, can we get a German layout in Bluemeaemo? Everything else is Perfect. You maybe want to add it on your page, i Connected to a Nokia N95 (Symbian OS) without Problems and used my N800 as Keyboard. |

Hi... I am trying to map the input for the Media Remote...
In windows media player Fast Forward and Rewind require three inputs.... SHIFT...CTRL and a letter.BlueMaemo is only letting me map 2 inputs though. Any workarounds? Thanks |

Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
I tried this application on the N900 for the first time last night and it seemed to work well on two Debian Linux systems I tried it on. Thanks for the great application. It should be very useful for my mythtv systems!
One question: I noticed a post last year saying that alt, tab, and one or two other keys would be added. alt works, but I don't see how to send a tab. Is there a tab key on the virtual keyboard? Also, what is the outlook of getting the physical keyboard working on the N900? Thanks again for the great application! --Brad |
Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
physical keyboard werks fine for me..... nearly.
just press power button to bring up menu gthen touch screen behind it to get rid of it. the hardware keyboard should then work...... well it does for me. |
Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
well my PS3 sees my N900 but controllers don t work .. do i need something else to install .. Downloaded Bluemaemo from the Dowloads tab on top. New to this . Let me know what i am doing wrong ... thanx

Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
OK. Thanks for pointing that out the workaround to get the hardware keyboard going. I may have missed the significance of some earlier posts.
But how would I send alt-tab? I don't see tab on the on-screen keyboard or the N900 hardware keyboard. Thanks! --Brad |

Hey all .. I just wanted to say that I'm loving using BlueMaemo as a Media Player controlling device .. Keep up the good work VDVsx :)
Also, is it possible to insert some special button sequences (e.g. CTRL + Right .. for forwarding in Media Player Classic) .. ? |
Re: Introducing BlueMaemo

Re: Introducing BlueMaemo
Hi
I just want to bounce an idea here, probably discussed already elsewhere. I would like to make my laptop keyboard an external bluetooth keyboard/mouse to a PS3 or any system that can take a bluetooth keyboard/mouse. My laptop runs Ubuntu. Somebody suggested BlueMaemo since its all linux and I started poking around a bit. First is it possible to do that or is it something too crazy ? I managed to set up an environment to compile stuff and I am new to maemo, python and the bluetooth stack. I got to a point where when I run I get these errors. Code:
warning: x11-16 is not supported, fallback to x11 Is anyone interested in doing with this ? Is this the right approach ? Any pointers with the error ? |
