Hi.
I'm going to explore this problem, but I don't promise that will be quickly, because currently I'm developing MeeCast for Jolla phone and I work full free time for this.

I am using OMWeather 0.28.13 on N900 with CSSU Stable

If it's behind, it may be that the widget only updates when it's on the active screen (and that can take a few seconds sometimes if you device is busy).

If it's ahead, it may be that the app is using UTC or the time zone is off. It may also be adding a couple hours for the "hourly" view, since most people don't care about the current weather vs what it's going to be in a couple hours. I'm not sure if OMWeather has this or not, but I know the ForcaWeather widget does this often in it's mult-hour view, showing the next upcoming time block, not the current one.

Just ideas to look at...

it seems the wrong days issue happens during night time (around 01:00 am). At daytime everythings fine.

more screenshots to explain, take a look at time and wrong days

Vlad, I don't know if this is a big job or something trivial, but could a plugin to use UK Met Office data be put together?

Fair enough; you need to spend your time on things you see as important.

If someone else were to want to try and get this working, would you mind? And would I right in thinking it could be done with a database plugin, or would the difference in data structure necessitate changes to the app?

I will be glad if someone will create this plugin.

But. It will be difficult becase I rewrote the plugin system of OMWeather than I created MeeCast for Harmattan.

TomJ: you might try using meecast from the git repo. It did work with the latest meegotouch (0.26), you needed though to change the graphics system for it to have reasonable performance (trial & error). I did build some old version some time ago and it build flawlessly, iirc.

/edit: and no, it can't go to extras-devel because it meegotouch needs cssu. There was some talk about extras-thumb [1], but only talk, afaik

Working for me using weather.com source and a few US locations. What are you using and what's happening (or not happening)?

I guess a backend has changed it's format or some such.

Is OMWeather done for since January 15th? Doesn't want to update for me anymore.

Hm, <wxdata.weather.com>:
"This service is deprecated as of 01/15/2020"

Did not found an alternativ yet.

Re: New version of OMWeather is available for testing.

Meecast has been updated for weather.com changes, so there's some chance that OMWeather can be, too.

Re: New version of OMWeather is available for testing.

Just use the yr.no database instead of weather.com. Still works fine. you will need to install the database and then clear all your stations and then select them again from the yr.no database instead.

Can confirm yr.no to be still working.

Hmm, still not working in New York :(. Even tried global-worm suggestion ... still nothing.

Has anyone taken a shot at making a new one, perhaps from darksky or from an government base weather api so this won't continue to happen when weather.com decide it want to change stuff again?

Got it working after removing and reinstalling the app and yr.no. But also removing weather.com db.

Thanks all for the suggestions. I however think it's time to make a new db perhaps based on a open or gov api/data.
