Ok, this is offtopic, right? And since you asked, I don't consider it a personal attack - the girl does probably not chat on this forum anyway -, but a rather enfatic demonstration of my concept of beauty.

She has no hips. She has no bums. She has no curves. She's a straight stick with no sex appeal at all. You can indeed see her ribs, they were probably photoshopped out though.

This particular concept of beauty seems to be popular in the US. However, a body this thin is not very healthy and it's rather difficult to find - most girls have larger bones and if they try to squeeze to this size, their bones will be showing. Many girls suffer from diseases like anorexia and bulimia because of this unfair, weird concept of beauty.

It convinces many women to get thinner than they are supposed to be. It uglifies them.

I live in a country where we in general like much larger types. Like these, which totally trumps the previous stick figure:

Given the fact that Nokia has even just recently been updating bugs, I think PR 1.2 will be released in the middle of June.

There is a planned n 900 launch at in South Africa in the 2nd week of June so it makes sense.

N900 was released in:
- Australia in April PR 1.1
- China Hong Kong in May with PR 1.2 ( HK version)
- South Africa in June with (full?) PR 1.2
It would also coincide with the FIFA world cup! It’s the only continent on which the N900 has yet to be release, and they have a high concentration of Nokia customers.

Seems logical.. but a bugger of a wait.

While I agree with you concerning pictures of photoshopped anorexic models, I must confess I don't find attractive the big-butted woman you posted.

There are tons of slim (not anorexic) real girls, which are of course larger than models, but in fact have good proportions.

I work in Paris in a place which is probably near some model agencies, as I can very often see models walking on the street. They are easily recognizable with their make-up and their very thin legs. While I must admit they are elegant and have cut faces, I think I am more attracted by "normal" slim girls.

Anorexic photoshopped models pictures are aesthetic, real slim girls are physically attractive.

There, I just wrote an email to Nokia, explaining that I want compensation for the difference i price between when I bought the N900 and when it (with pr1.2 or any other way) will fulfill the the attributes and functions that Nokia claims that the N900 can handle. Otherwise I will take this to the consumer's agencey! I also told them that I am going to suggest to other N900 owners to demand the same thing.

They have pushed us to the edge of war! We have no choise but to give it to them.

Any notification to them will do, as long as they see how many has had enough!

So a phone that you can't use call any other number than 911 if you have a prepaid SIM card? But they didn't didn't mention that, except in the alledged update that is said to be released any day now and have for the last 3 months? You don't think that is of intrest to the consumer's agency? If the Sony HDTV didn't pick up tv signals what so ever then? Becasue that is what is equivalent to this... BASIC functions!
