this refers to the fact that things which are out of sight (possibly even public knowledge) have better chance of success then something which is torn apart & shredded all the time, simply because those actions damage the public image.

not funny, not cheap, but that's what commercial success is build upon, alas.

that's the reason why Jolla's firmware won't be available publicly neither and nothing is known of their upcoming device.
well, not much
from the "the other ½" campaign is saw a picture with a hardware keyboard...
maybe there is hope

Hi guys,

Here's my suggestion: keep calm!
And your lesson for the day: patience is a virtue.

Please think about that.

I say let's give Jolla a chance. There are lots of good people there and they are definitely on to something and I know for a fact that they're working hard to do things the right way.

Of course, being a small company they can't get everything right at the same time. Remember they're trying to do something that even a big company failed to do.

only point where i would disagree is about the

the big company didn't fail to do it
the big company was back stabbed by their own CEO
not that this is very surprising; the guy bankrupted every company he was manager of except m$ which kicked him out before he could achieve it, alas :(

4 concept Jolla phones (includes the lenovo one already posted)
http://nokiagadgets.com/2013/05/16/c...-nnouncements/

A lot more funky sailfish concept phones at
https://www.facebook.com/WeAreJollaWeAreUnlike
Also there you can see a pretty interesting Mozilla seabird concept phone with slide out bt earpiece that doubles as a wireless mouse. The phone also has a laser keyboard.

For those of you liking the idea of a Lenovo phone here is some pics and video of the large K900

The head phone jack is on the bottom (stupid).

Actually you maybe right here... Lenovo want todo theyr own phones.

Personally I like lenovo laptops :D The design is not so "cool" but the build quality is far better than Asus and Dell.

I love my Thinkpad X230 very robust ultralaptop with IPS screen.

Everything on X230 works very well with Linux too :D non closed drivers needed. I Know there is some in the Jolla who has X230 too so maybe Lenovo is sponsoring the laptops at Jolla? :)
