Also, perhaps regaining enough employees to actually do the work needed to prepare tablets and the long, long list of refunds...

Well, some folks worry about income. Others worry about outcome...

I can confirm its a guess. However very few things Apears on time and even fewer from jolla so I would say its an educated guess.

There were people who initially weren't due to receive a tablet, but their status switched to 'pending shipment' in the first couple of days. You'd think this would have been because of other people declining. I doubt that would happen by now though - I should think everyone who was going to pass up the tablet will have done so already.

Thats sounds reasonable. You know, I'm just astonished at all that has transpired here. I am also deeply sadden for everyone that it didn't work out. I mean, even if you aquire a tablet, a large part of the enjoyment comes from the community sharing knowledge and experiences. This will largely be missing because so few people have one. That is what drew me to the N900 years ago.

Only a refund can be the answer to a refund. Without it it's simply no refund.

Yeah. I think we have to go very deep to understand what jolla means with the word. Possibly also forget everything we know about the meaning of a refund, if not the word it self.

Gerbick. Time to think outside of the box. Bring your weirdest thought (about the subject) and we go with that.

This thread is in danger of becoming a religion. The tablet, the scam, and the holy refund.

I just got the invitation mail to complete my address details and pay taxes for my tablet!! :D :D :D

So it seems Jolla is moving forward with the deliveries. Now lets see how long to wait for the actual tablet to arrive (according to the mail and shop it should be 10-20 days for handling and packaging and further 5-7 days for the actual delivery from Honkong) :p

Yep, me too! Just paid the taxes (57€ in my case) and placed the order. Happy to see things moving at last.

And to join one of the most exclusive clubs, as a Jolla tablet owner!
I doubt the tablet will get much support, sadly, but we'll see.

Thanks to everybody that replied earlier!

Only a progress can be an answer to a progress. Without it it's simply no progress.

I am happy to confirm that I received the same invite to pay the taxes and shipping to Finland today. :D

An interesting twist is that I had already given up the hope of getting my tablet, and so about 3 weeks ago I changed my contribution to donation (not taking the offered refund)

My queue number was #799, so I am indeed lucky to get the tablet!

Absolutely great! But I have to say that those that didn't take the refund were really luck (or clever). I had lower queue number according to my memory than you did, but opted for refund and thus no invite. Luckily I bought tablet from taobao early on, but would have to say that without it I would be really pissed to hear queue numbers so high getting tablets.

Have no fear since even if the 1/2 refund is disbursed there is still another year to determine if the other 1/2 of refund is given out. So this thread has legs! Dave999 clearly has a lot of work ahead of him!

How did you "opt for a refund", if I may ask? Not that I regret getting the tablet, but the option was not offered to me. Actually, I clicked through the reimbursement form thinking I was not getting the tablet at all, realizing afterwards that I would actually get the tablet.

I gather that if you not complete the payment within next week or so, your tablet will be offered to those next in queue, however.

To my understanding the same way as others here. Received email and options were refund or donation. Answered with refund the same day I received the email. To the best of my memory.
