The file didn't appear to be corrupted - it opened in a text editor fine, and seemed to have the right information for what it was displaying.

Version 0.6 is now available, get it at the garage page.

This version adds an alarm interface to allow you to add, remove, and edit alarms. There are also settings added to change the colour of the clock display based on upcoming alarms (for example, change to red for alarms within 24 hours). There are two levels of notification, but at this point you have to make sure level one has a smaller limit than level two or one of the levels will be ignored.

I have been running this version for over a week without any increase in memory usage. hildon-desktop is usually running at about 14MB, but I have seen it as low as 13 and as high as 20. It usually goes back to 14 in a few hours, though. It looks like the memory leak is gone.

Re: [Announce] OS2008 Statusbar Clock

Could someone with OS2007 check if this clock runs for them? I restructured my code around 0.5 in such a way that it MAY work in 2007. I don't know if all the functions would work (such as alarms and possibly launching the world clock) but if it at least loads that is a starting point.

Of course, there is still the chance that it won't load at all.

......

Great, Simple and Effective !

Question 1:
I did install Openntpd to synchronize time. I guess you did'nt invent your own time ?

Suggestion: Trying the alarm tones seems only to work by entering the current time. In the original clock you could hear the sound by changing the option to another tone. I liked that, felt intuative, but don't think it is an important issue.

Thanks , excellent work !

Re: [Announce] OS2008 Statusbar Clock

AbelMN: Is your question 1 asking if I implemented a ntpd into the clock? If so, then no I did not. Does it work with openntpd?

As for the different tones, they seem to be working for me. Tone 3 sounds like the ocean, tone 2 sounds like a cellphone ring tone, and tone 1 sounds like an alarm clock. I set three alarms using them set 1, 2, and 3 minutes from the current time.

I guess it does work. It 'll problably synchronize the cpu clock. I'll check. Until now no problems. If necessary I'll come back to you

OK, fine with me, As I said: no problem

Thanks again.

No such problems. In fact, I restart my machine only every 3 or 4 days.

Abel.
