Re: MediaBox Media Center 0.96 with UPnP and more
I uninstalled Mediabox from both flash and the mmc boot image. I deleted the two mediabox directories from both flash and mmc boot images (total of four). I rebooted and reinstalled. The symptom reoccurs.
Here the correct art appears: http://theclient.hypermart.net/screenshot01.png And here is not: http://theclient.hypermart.net/screenshot03.png |

I could not manage to make a deb of my theme ! My fault because i have not yet succeeded to install maemo sdk on my amd64-pc, even by following the instructions I found on this forum :(
Shame on me ! So here is the compressed folder containing the entire theme, so that people who wish can test it... Or even make the deb of it. ;) EDIT : had to change files |
Re: MediaBox Media Center 0.96 with UPnP and more
I put the krazybat folder in /home/user/.mediabox/themes but it is not appearing in the themes list. What am i doing incorrect?
Edit: I also added it here: /usr/lib/mediabox/theme The theme is not showing up. The info file and preview files are in the krazybat directory. What am i doing incorrect? |

For the totally uninitiated, From app manager, 1) install mediabox 0.96.3-2 2) install mediabox-worldtv Fire up mediabox media center, click the curve arrow on left lower corner to open setup menu, click the icon with a reel of film will open up Videos and world TV, click the world TV icon opens up 45 tv stations. Great stuff, pycage! bun |

Strange... Very strange... The folder only needs to be uncompressed and put in one of the two locations you stated. I use the svn version because I work on my pc, and it works well. Sorry, I don't see what's wrong... EDIT : Remove the former folders and try again with the new version. |

The ID tags are only read for quick thumbnailing when there's no image available in the folder. Parsing the tags would take too long when you have dozens or hundreds of files. |

I uploaded the deb to maemo-extras. It should appear there within a few minutes. |
Re: MediaBox Media Center 0.96 with UPnP and more
The theme install worked just fine for me. I don't know why I am having so many problems. I wonder if I've buggered something up. I'm not sure what to do. Could there be remnants of the SVN or a previous install that is causing me problems?
My album list icons do not display correctly. There are no cover art files in my music folder. I deleted the thumbnails folders again and the idx files. Removed the album that the list art was pulling from. When I restarted it it behaved similarly by pulling the art from the next album in line for the list art. http://theclient.hypermart.net/screenshot28.png So again I deleted the idx files again and then Mediabox rebuilt on start up and then this occurred again: http://theclient.hypermart.net/screenshot29.png I continued to repeat this process until I was down to two songs and each time Mediabox pulls the cover art from the top album and assigns it to all the albums below. My update index now button appears to activate the scan, but no changes are ever detected. I deleted the album "Dig Your own Hole" to see if the album list icons would chnage. I can delete all the songs of an album, but the albums still appear though when I click on them the (deleted) songs do not appear. The update index does not seem to be working for me. I really want figure out what the problem is. I really love the look and feel of Mediabox. At this point I think the best thing would be to clean out all remnants of Mediabox and start over. What do you suggest? I tried uninstalling it and deleted the .mediabox directories from MMC2 and home. |
