Re: pySafe - for personal information security

same thing happens here as well, even with latest version. conflicting package python2.5-qt4-gui. so the upgrade is still not smooth

edit: install via HAM gives conflicting packages error. BUT install via apt-get works fine. It pulls in lots of libraries and sorts itself out completely.

It looks realy nice. some suggestioncould it be possible to safe some screen real estate on the left side of the screen ? less white space before the group and item names ? and also slightly smaller font for the group and item names ? tapping area is fine, just I love to see more of the item text.

Thanks again for bringing this further. We will end up one day with a real HandySafe replacement, incl. multiplatform desktop sync. great !

Re: pySafe - for personal information security

I have done the upgrade and now it works for me!
The program starts.

I'm trying to import my old databse of password made with Keepass password safe, exporting it as XML file from my pc, and using the wizard for the import but It fails.

The pysafe.log written in /var/tmp is empty.
What is wrong in this procedure?

It only can import old pySafe databases. Keepass exports are not supported.

I'm working on a program that lets you sync pySafe with Keepass though.

I'm sorry....
I have done a mistake... The import procedure works well..
I suggest to you to insert a messagge as "Import in progress" because during the import the N900 isn't responsive and it's impossible to know if the phone has accepted the command or not.

You have done a great work. Thank you very much !

The version 0.8.2 is in the repository! Please can you confirm that now it runs flawlessly?

I believe that you are with mess instalation of Python! The current version of PyQt is 4.6, not 4.7 (this is not official yet)!

Re: pySafe - for personal information security

so what version should it be?

i did apt-get remove python2.5-qt4-gui
it uninstalled:
healthcheck
pysafe
wifieye
python2.5-qt4-gui

then installed pysafe again and it says that is using
...
python2.5-qt4-gui (4.7.3-maemo5)
....
...
pysafe (0.8.2-2)

(it is working)
