In game Use 'L' key (Lima), for access emulator Menu...
You dont need to edit config file, CPS2gui do all hard task...
Configuration/GUI file don't support remap keys, for now key are hardcoded.

CPS2gui not have menus, this have a lot of code to do things happen..

I planning do a CONTROLS button like on others emulators GUIs, but we really need it?

I thinking code a way to:
1- Use keyboard to player 2 and PS3 sixaxis for player 1, when detect it...
2- Use 4 sixaxis for play 4 players games :D
3- Can remap keys, for keyboard and sixaxis ;)

Re: CPS2 emulator for N900

For me, just only the ability to remap keys in order to use it with my GameGripper (even through a plain text file) would be enough. Then CPS1 support :D

Your work is very appreciated.

I think more easy add a "GameGripper" layout to emulator for now...

There is a problem with this approach, keyboard layouts are different between countries and GameGripper uses a pair of problematic keys. I don't know if you can simply code it selecting position (or number) of the key.

In my case (spanish keyboard) the schematic is something like that:

w t u p
a d l ç
x b m .

So I would define it as:
Up: w
Left: a
Right: d
Down: x
Fire 1: l
Fire 2: p
Fire 3: . (Left in US Englis)
Fire 4: ç (Down in US English)
Fire 5: b
Fire 6: m
Coin: u
Start: t

But for Fighting games, for example I may change configuration so I can have Fire 1, 2, 4 and 5 in the right side and 3 and 6 (strong kick/punch) in the middle buttons.

A trick used in several games/emulators is to change keyboard layout to US English at the beginning of the execution and return to normal state when closing.

Re: CPS2 emulator for N900

Really, is there a separate CPS1 Emu? ' Use keyboard to player 2 and PS3 sixaxis for player 1, when detect it... ' Or vice-versa or 2 sixaxis, altough I don't have even 1, but plann to buy 1 then the second, maybe both if I find a good price. Anyway, I also apreciatte your work, thank you. About buttons : on Mame, now I am using SDLMame to see the differences I use q w e a s d for key 1 2 3 4 5 6 , directions I put on keypad, bit diferent, but I got use to, you only would need change z x c for a s d on your emulator. Thank you.
