Dude.

You're screwed. This isn't the "stable" Hong Kong version. It's an old beta version of PR1.2 that got leaked somehow and now a bunch of fools and impatient folks have it running on their N900's.

As has already been stated, you're going to have to live with it until the normal version is released unless you don't care about your cellphone. Going back to 1.1.1 will disable your cellphone. So you're pretty much stuck with a crappy unstable version of PR1.2.

Hope it was worth it.

Re: BE ADVISED leaked PR1.2 firmware flashers: downgrade to previous firmware disables cellular radio

I flashed using the 1.2 firmware this morning and thankfully have had no problems with it. Glad to have it as I've not experienced any of the bugs from 1.1.1 and CPU usage seems to be 'normal' i.e. no 100% CPU utilisation until rebooted.

Next time there's a leak before an official release I think I'll wait...lucky this time but don't want to push my luck again.

If only there were more regular releases from Nokia to fix the bugs which REALLY make the phone a pain to use at times.

Locking means that no other updates or bugfixes (from other bugs) are going to make it into that release. So they focus on what has made it into PR 1.2. at that point.

At that point it may go into beta status or several versions of RC status. What status they call it depends on the company in question. For example, Google calls everything beta

That's hilarious to me.

Sorry Fel, I don't mean to be a jerk.. but with how many people have been screaming lately that they want PR1.2 no matter what.. then to get this. It's poetic, in a way.

Yep. If you flashed the leaked PR1.2 you are using an OLD VERSION of it that is unstable and buggy. Going back to 1.1.1 will render your cellphone useless. So it's either:

A) Living with the unstable version of PR1.2 and keep cellphone capabilities
or
B) Going back to 1.1.1 but not be able to use your phone.

Sorry. Seriously though, thanks for your feedback, it serves as a great warning to others thinking of doing the same.
