Thanks for your efforts. But, since Tinyedit release, I am using it to write long messages. Actually, that's what I'm doing just now. And I like that way of posting even at my desktop computer: less chances of losing any message in case of network issues. Just copy and paste.

Although I'm a long time Opera fan, I'm loving this browser.

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

Update: 0.9-4 is out with the following cool new features:
  • Added clearing of cache
  • Fixed clearing of cookies
  • Added RemorsePopup for clearing cache and cookies
  • Fixed target detection of links
  • Added renaming feature for bookmarks
  • Added Clear history function
  • Added youtube streaming (externally with LLsVideoPlayer) and download support (tries to get 720p if that fails 480p -> 360p -> 240p)
  • Added private mode (use harbour-webcat --private to start it in private mode)
  • Added 'Save' function in contextmenu

Get it now from openrepos
Or wait a few days until it is approved in harbour.

Adblock+

Hi, thanks for great browser.

Reason for me to stick with default browser is adblock. So is there any workaround to get it work? I can download it with fire Firefox user agent, but can't install.

Oh, it seems to be in todo list, big thanks

Re: [Announce] Webcat Browser

Webcat uses a different webengine so adblock from firefox can't work with it.

As for adblock support. I need to figure it out on my own and see if it is even possible without forking the webengine.

This has todo with first TMO not being optimized for mobile webbrowsers and second with the default font size in webcat.
The size is set to a value where common pages like google+ and youtube are readable. (at least for me)
If you lower your font settings to
Default Font Size: 16
Default Fixed Font Size: 14
Minimum Font Size: 12
TMO should appear normal in portrait mode.
Note: In landscape mode it also looks fine with the default settings.

The difference here between the default sailfish-browser (and the gecko engine) is that they most probably use another pixel density setting which can't be set for the QtWebkit plugin anymore used by Webcat (it figures it out automatically and in my opinion this creates a little bit too small font sizes)
I hope that answers the question.

Not out of the box with qtwebkit. This needs some more coding and digging.

I guess they then use some kind of cookie that allows the usage of this new ui.
I couldn't find much on this though.
