pede mo open app manager or fapman (if installed) then click uninstall.....hanapin mo ung enhance linux kernel tsaka tools tpos uninstall. then reboot......hanapin m din ung profile ni jakiman. sa sig nya meron oc guide.

pero para safe wak muna uninstall......reset mo lang sa default ung kernel settings:

Code:

/usr/sbin/kernel-config load default
the code above will set your current settings to stock

Code:

/usr/sbin/kernel-config default default
this code will set your settings to stock at boot.

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

How to install webOS games on N900

1. Get Palm Pre Game (.ipk) You can google it where to find. Or P.M. me.

I will set example for Need for Speed Undercover.
The file name will be "com.ea.app.nfsuc.eu.en_20.0.48_all.ipk"
Install 7zip in your PC and extract this file.
You need the data.tar.gz inside it.
Extract data.tar.gz.
Go through inside it until you reach "com.ea.app.nfsuc.eu.en" folder
This com.ea.app.nfsuc.eu.en is the game data you need.
Rename com.ea.app.nfsuc.eu.en to nfsuc

2. Copy nfsuc to N900

Basically you can use USB but you can only put in myDocs.
This game should be in /home/user
I use midnight commander (in devel-extras) to copy it from home/user/myDocs to /home/user. You can use any advance file manager

3. Install preenv

Make sure that devel-extras repo is enable and your catalogues is updated
Open X-term:
Code:

Type: sudo gainroot (Enter)
Type: apt-get install preenv (Enter)

Anwser "Y" (Enter) if it prompted to install it.

4. Game installation

From Step 3, don't close X-term yet.
Code:

Type: preenv (Enter)
Type: cd /home/user/nfsuc (Enter)
Type: chmod +rwx nfsuc (Enter)
Type: desktopgen appinfo.json (Enter)

5. Restart N900 so that Icon will appear in your menu.

6. Then have fun :)

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

hey, how do i get the webOS games? can anybody send it to me via private msg?? thanks. =)

Jucato 2010-10-29 00:09

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

@billy900: dual booting MeeGo 1.1 isn't scary. It doesn't involve doing anything that will change your existing Maemo system (just be careful with the flasher command and enter it exactly as it is said in the guide).

http://meego.com/devices/handset/ins...ego-nokia-n900

Kelangan mo lang ng spare 2GB (but probably 4GB is preferred) microSD card. Ung buong card ang gagamitin, hindi pa pwedeng single partition in a card.

But note that the "official" word from Nokia is: http://conversations.nokia.com/2010/...o-version-1-1/

Re: Nokia N900 Owners from Philippines

nitdroid installation

ok guys this is gonna be easy,
1. grab an sd card which is not lower than 2 gig. i would suggest na i partition nyo manually ito, if you have a linux laptop or netbook just install gparted then open the app, you shoud partition and format ext3, if you don't have linux try to download vmware for windows and download any linux distro just google how it works hehe, remember when you partition your sd, the nitdroid partition should be lesser than 2gig.
2. after partioning here's the easy part, download the nitdroid installer from the extras devel repo then run the installer and just follow what it says, it will do the job for you.
3. reboot your device with keyboard open, on the multiboot menu you'll see the nitdroid item created click it, nitdroid will now boot.. hintay lang ng konti sa first boot.
well that's how I installed it on mine hehe its pretty straightforward..

for other help just go to forum.nitdroid.com they know better there

I have not yet tested assassins creed. But here is the idea.

For example game is com.gameloft.app.assassins, then you will rename it as assassins and copy it to /home/user.

Then
Code:

Type: chmod  +rwx /home/user/assassins/assassins/Assassins

I'd point out that it isn't about the system being Linux-based that controls the behavior for paths. It would have been better stated as "pathname 101" or "pathname basics", with the exception of course of esoteric pathname systems.

@billy900: If the argument to 'cd' is a directory, the current working directory (CWD) will still be changed, whether the path contains a trailing slash or not. Assuming /some/path/some/dir is a directory, the following commands are equivalent:

cd /some/path/some/dir
cd /some/path/some/dir/

This also applies to DOS pathnames. The following commands are equivalent:

cd \some\path\some\dir
cd \some\path\some\dir\

My usual remedy to that is to delete the offending account, then create it again.

yup I did that... but it didn't fix it. I think it has something to do with the update of the plugin. ...I don't think you can rollback the update though so right now only thing I could do is uninstall it til there's a fix.

Hmm, that's odd. If you could reproduce it, then you may want to file a bug report.

By the way, are you using the built-in messenger or an application like Pidgin?

yup i'm using the Pidgin protocols plugin for Conversations and Contacts... funny thin is, the update was applied to Pidgin Extra Protocols (Bonjour and Sametime)... if you uninstall both and only intalled the plugin for Conversations and Contacts, for some reason the Extra Protocols would be re-installed as well.

...yup I think it's a bug coz a few people are reporting the same issues after the update.
